When I board my babies, it costs me $12 a day. That is about the average in this area of Florida.

I have worked at two boarding kennels and each had been run otherwise. The primary one charged by weight, if I don't forget thoroughly, it 20lbs> $thirteen per day, 21-40lbs = $14, forty one-65lbs =$15, 65-85lbs =sixteen, 85lbs and up = $17. The second one expenditures through run sort. An Indoor/outside run is $sixteen per day, and an indoor handiest is $14 (either option gets the same quantity of outside exercize in fenced in yards 5 occasions a day) simply get on your phone publication and provides different kennels a call. They should be blissful to reply your questions. Make sure that they require vaccinations for a minimum of Rabies, Distemper/Parvo/Leptospirosis, and Bordetella. Make certain you are taking A TOUR OF the ability. It will have to be clean, have plenty of coloration, the dogs should be good fed and have plenty of water. There must be NO holes inthe fence. They must even be quite easy (but hold in mind that they are in a kennel, and if they're in staff play, they are able to get soiled swiftly) Ask how commonly the sanitize. Ask who will have contact along with your dog and how much awareness it will recieve. Do they offer further walks or one on one play? Will they furnish food? Are you able to bring your possess? Will either option cost more? What do they do in emergencies. What if your canine requires vet care? Is the ability heated and cooled? Are they given bedding? Are you able to provide your own toy or bedding? How many times will the dog get to move out and for a way lengthy? How do they handle intricate/aggressive/frightened or shy dogs, historical dogs, in poor health dogs, puppies? What is going to they do if your dog does not devour? Do they offer crew play? If this is the case, how do they decide who gets to play? Is it supervised? How do they control a combat? Will they give medications? If so do they have got a highest, everyday limit? Will that cost additional? What do they do if a canine escapes? I have been within the buissines and i know there and just right kennels and dangerous ones. Believe your instincts and if some thing seems unsuitable, the it normally is. Hope this helps. Just right success! I live in southwest Ohio.

I have worked at two boarding kennels and both were run differently.

The first one charged by weight, if I remember correctly, it 20lbs> $13 per day, 21-40lbs = $14, 41-65lbs =$15, 65-85lbs =16, 85lbs and up = $17.

The second one charges by run type. An Indoor/outdoor run is $16 per day, and an indoor only is $14 (either option gets the same amount of outside exercize in fenced in yards 5 times a day)

Just get in your phone book and give different kennels a call. They should be happy to answer your questions. Make sure that they require vaccinations for AT LEAST Rabies, Distemper/Parvo/Leptospirosis, and Bordetella. MAKE SURE YOU TAKE A TOUR OF THE FACILITY. It should be clean, have lots of shade, the dogs should be well fed and have plenty of water. There should be NO holes inthe fence. They should also be fairly clean (but keep in mind that they are in a kennel, and if they are in group play, they can get dirty quickly) Ask how often the sanitize. Ask who will have contact with your dog and how much attention it will recieve. Do they offer extra walks or one on one play? Will they provide food? Can you bring your own? Will either option cost more? What do they do in emergencies. What if your dog requires vet care? Is the facility heated and cooled? Are they given bedding? Can you provide your own toy or bedding? How many times will the dog get to go out and for how long? How do they handle difficult/aggressive/fearful or shy dogs, old dogs, sick dogs, puppies? What will they do if your dog does not eat? Do they offer group play? If so, how do they decide who gets to play? Is it supervised? How do they handle a fight? Will they give medications? If so do they have a maximum, daily limit? Will that cost extra? What do they do if a dog escapes?

I've been in the buissines and I know there and good kennels and bad ones. Trust your instincts and if something seems wrong, the it probably is. Hope this helps. Good Luck!

I live in southwest Ohio.

It depends on 1. the kennel itself; 2. the size of the dog; 3. what you need/want done for the dog while it's being boarded; and 4. how long you plan to board the dog.

Let's deal with these in turn...
1. check them out; get a recommendation from your vet (in fact, that is often a good place to board your dog because they are already familiar with him, can treat anything if needed, etc.). Will they just board your dog or will they provide a play time? It will affect the cost.
2. the smaller the dog, the less the charge. There is usually a charge of $8-10 per day for the smallest dog (up to say, 20 lbs) then additional $3-5 per day for the next size (for example 21-30 lbs);
3. do you want them to pamper your pooch? Feed it their own food (or your food that you bring)? If your own food which the dog is used to eating, it might be better for the dog, but the kennel will probably charge you $1 extra per day. Similarly, if you bring the dogs own blanket or pillow, they will charge you $1 per day for cleaning it. Do you need them to give pills or other medicine -- another $1 per pill. Do you want them to play with your pooch every day? or give it a bath before you pick it up? trim it's nails? All of these add $$ to the stay.
4. Are you only boarding for the day? It's cheaper than overnight.

so as you can see, there's a lot to consider -- just like checking into a hotel for yourself. Call the kennels and ask about each of these.

depends on the size of the dog . Kennel prices vary. Here where I live they can cost £8 a day for a medium sized dog, but in the London area, it can be as much as £20 a day. Phone several kennels listed in the yellow pages.

This really does vary tremendously; unfortunately the cost is no true indication of the quality of care your 'best friend' is going to get; my advice would be to 'let your fingers do the walking' through the yellow pages, make a few 'phone calls to the ones most conveniently placed to where you live and ask them for their charges, then go and look at the ones that sound affordable, any decent kennels will take you on a tour of their establishment: another way is to ask other dog owners for a few addresses of kennels where their pets have been happy and well cared for, or you could even ask your vet to recommend one.

This is going to depend on several factors: location, amenities, breed/size of dog. Your best bet is to use the Yellow Pages to find local kennels in your area and a call a few for their services and prices. You should probably visit the kennels before you need to board your dog. You don't want to wait until the last minute and find that the place is unsuitable in some way.

This depends on the area you live and breed of dog, I think it is around £10 per day per dog, you can ring your chosen kennel and enquir how much it would be, and what month it would be in, as some kennels put there chargers up in the summer months.

It depends on where in the country you live, the size of your dog and any special requirements. Many Kennels also have on and off peak times of the year.
On average you can expect to pay 10 pounds a day.

It depends where you live. I live in the southeast, and we could pay $13.00- $15.00 per dog. I don't board my dogs when we travel because even though my babies have been treated for kennel cough, my friends dogs who have also been treated have had kennel cough after every time they were boarded. I am a bit leary of it. We usually have my husbands secretary's daughter house sit for us, and we give her $20.00 for the weekend. The dogs are happier because they are at home and they are getting more personal attention, and they really like that! Good luck!
