"However, Fox and his government appear to be unwilling to acknowledge their own hypocisy in dealing with illegal immigrants who enter Mexico from Central American countries. Considered felons by the Mexican government, these immigrants fear detention, rape and robbery. Police and soldiers hunt them down at railroads, bus stations and fleabag hotels. Sometimes they are deported; more often officers beat them and simply take their money and possessions.

Building the US/Mexico border fence, and arranging for same-day service for deportation, and getting border communities to work together to report illegal border crossings would largely stop the problem. Mexico's been a really poor partner in border enforcement for years, the fence really would work which is why people were protesting it. If you can't just walk across the borderline anytime you want, then it prevents a lot of illegal stuff from happening. Pretty simple, wouldn't even really cost that much, but I don't know if they'll ever get it built or not.

Mexico's got some pretty good ideas going, though, they're talking about building schools, and trying to fight crime. Small steps, but steps...

Fox is no longer the prez, and when he was, he was just a puppet for the cartels. As for Mexico deporting anoyone, they only deport the criminals that run out of money, remember in Mexico, you have money you can have anything, you run out and your crap out of luck, that country is run by the golden rule, whoever has gold, rules, and once you run out, your ruled.

It's all lip service man. No matter your political party affiliation, no matter your leanings, it is difficult to deny that the country is being sold down the river from underneath us. All in the name of profit. And greed has no political affiliation.

People from other countries can also buy realestate in this country. You can not go to Mexico and buy land. You are only allowed to lease it. Our laws are our worst enemy.

Because no one ever likes it when it's done to them but they all justify it when they're doing it. It's human nature I guess.
