I'm 5 foot 11 inches, 219 lbs male, BMI 30% (obese)

The simple answer is yes, cardio such as running 3-4 times a week for 20-30 minutes will help lose body fat, the more you run, the more you burn, it works around your whole body.

However you must also have a good diet, cut out all the fast food, junk food, sugary snacks etc, eat lots of veggies, lean meat, fish etc

Also just drink water

Yes you will, but if you don't include strength training, you may end up losing too much muscle in addition to fat. You want to maintain as much lean mass as possible, whilst losing body fat.

You should not lose more than 2lb per week and be sure to get plenty of protein to maintain and build your muscle mass, as well as low GI carbs for energy.

TH ANSWER IS YES, YOU WILL BUT YOU HAVE TO EAT ALSO, SO MAKE SURE YOU LIMIT YOUR BREAD INTAKE AND IF YOU DO EAT BREAD OR PASTA, EAT WHOLE WHEAT, AND YOU WILL SEE THAT WEIGHT FLY OFF.
