I think the Bible leans harder on women as the cause. According to the Bible, it's the reason women must suffer through periods and pain in childbirth. Paul also cites it as the main reason women are not allowed to teach or be ministers.
A Muslim friend of mine told me that Islam puts the blame equally on Adam and Eve.

I think so. It was eve who took the apple and who convinced softie adam to take a bite. After that god decided that men should be the boss of women or something. But then again, the bible was write by men so naturally they would say that men were the innocent victims and women the guilty party.

The Bible states that Adam become held in charge for the sin, even however Eve tasted of the Forbidden Fruit first. Romans 5:12 states - "subsequently, in basic terms as sin entered the international with the aid of one guy (Adam), and death with the aid of sin, and with the aid of this form death got here to all adult males, via fact all sinned....."

Adam is solely responsible for the original sin and then Eve. But that in no way makes us responsible for previous sin. We are born with no sins in Islam.

In Islam we are not responsible for the sins of others, rather only the things of our own doing. Remember all good comes from God, while all bad is from your ownself.
