I saw a AG-DVX100B and it cost $3,400 and than I saw the PAL version. It is only $3000....

The PAL is worse than the NTSC version? Why is cheap? The PAL format dont have value?

I cant say exactly, but I think its because the PAL models arent sold in the US, so therefore they arent as expensive. But thats just my take on it. The actual quality shouldnt be any different (unless it was a used camera. Was it a used camera? Even if it was, it should be fine, only some scratches near the tripod hole usually). Basically, just go ahead and get the PAL version. And if its used, and it says its in pretty good quality, then you might find a better deal on eBay, but used cameras from my experience are none the worse than new ones, just a better price :-). Hope this helps!

Neither is bad , both are of good quality the difference is hat Pal format is used for the European system and the NTSC is obviously for the Americas , it has to do with how many lines per second can fill a screen and the cycle of the electricity between continents , so if you are here in the Americas buy the NTSC version , and also crossing the videos will not work on the other system .

You can convert PAL to NTSC, but you will have duplicate frames in NTSC when converted from PAL, but not noticeable.
