I as well go to www.emetophobia.org You can get tons of support there. I have lived with it for about 20 years now. Don't lose hope and don't listen to people who say stupid things like we all don't like it, don't let it get to you. Phobias are different and you can get through this with help. Please visit the site.

I have a TERRIBLE fear of this also. I obsess over the smallest stomach pains, or dizzyness, or nausea. It makes life so much harder. You need to look on the internet, or self help books to learn how to change your fear. You need to talk to yourself, and say something like "Just because I am full from my meal doesn't give any reason for me to get sick." You need to distract yourself when you think you will get sick, but you have no evidence of being sick.
Sometimes anxiety causes nausea or aches, so being anxious about this doesn't help.
Something you can do right away is to relax when you start stressing out about this.
I feel your pain.

Sweetie? Vomiting is absolutely no fun for anyone. I hate it. I cannot breathe when it happens and that is very frightening. I wouldn't let it frighten you to the point you are describing. I don't understand how this fear or phobia would keep you from gaining weight. Please, I hope you are not anorexic. That may be the underlying problem. get help if that is the case. Otherwise, you sound pretty normal to me because nobody likes throwing up. Not even those who are bulimic. Get help, okay? My prayers are with you.

The term you're referring to is called Emetophobia(no offense but you I think you might have just have typed it incorrectly).
I found this site and think it might be useful to you, International Emetophobia Society http://www.emetophobia.org/
You should considering seeking counseling for this. Often with phobias you're encouraged to slowly overcome the phobia through desensitization and a counselor can help you discover the reason why this phobia developed in the first place.
