I am starting an organization for kids with cancer, wondering if I need to use hypo-allergenic materials in the gifts (specificly bears). Thank you.

Cancer weakens the immune system (think like AIDS without way of spreading it).
I would, just rather be safe than sorry. Espcially if the kids are undergoing treatment.

Well, cancer and cancer treatments can lower a kid's immune system dramatically, almost as if they had AIDS. I would use hypo-allergenic stuff just to make sure. You don't know what kind of allergies or infections these kids could have in addition to cancer.

Cancer is a mix. I don't think two people have the same symptoms. That would probably explain why its so hard to diagnose a treat. Mostly its the medicine that messes people up so its probably good to be aware of. Especially if they are taking steroids. Hope it works out because its the curse of mankind.

Cancer eats away at healthy cells, so you might want to be more carefull what you do. They are more susceptible to getting sick because of their weakened immune system.
It's probably a good idea, but you could check with a local children's hospital to make sure, they might even help you with your organization.

Very many.....u should ask your area cancer society b4 even starting your project...cancer patients shouldnt even b around live plants or flowers. sooooooooooo ask
