My hair is naturally medium brown and I bleached it - turned out AWFUL - so... I used a dark brown dye to try to get my natural color back (I went darker because it will fade...)

Well now it's DARK GRAY!

The only thing I can think of is to go black... there's pics of me with highlights and also w/ dark brown hair on my MySpace - www.myspace.com/meringuei

Could I do black?

Several people have said yes, but I'm going to have to say no on this one. I have answered to several other questions regarding black hair dye because I had a close friend that did it. The problem with dying hair black is that it doesn't look good or natural on the vast majority of people that do it, and it can clash with most skintones horribly. Yours is very light and has reddish undertones, and black hair will make you look sallow and lighter complected than you are. (Think gothic here.) I don't think it would look natural at all on you honestly. There are very few people that don't have the haircolor naturally that can pull it off. Not only that, but it's damn near impossible to get out once you do it. You can't really strip it out, because doing so will only result in an odd red or dark orange shade that is almost impossible to dye over, and that's if you find a hair salon willing to even attempt to strip the color from your hair. The only solution would be to let it grow out. I would go to a reputable hairstylist and have them fix the color. Dark gray may seem horrible now, but at least when done at a good hair salon its fixable. Black hair is a commitment.

I looked at your pic and I think black is a bit extreme. Go to a good salon and seek professional help.

Go black - keep it moisturized. Youmay have to change your style for a minute as it may be a little limp - but moisturize!
