Yes bleaching IS hard on the hair however it's the best way to go to guarantee you a good blond color. You WILL have to treat your hair to some very good products after the fact but if being blond is whats going to make you happy than I say go for it. Just be prepared to condition, condition , condition and a high maintenence of rooting.

If you lighten your hair it does more damage than darkening it. Plus with bleaching your hair depending on how fast your hair grows your roots will show so you'll have to get it done again resulting in more damage to your hair. If you're thinking about going blonde i suggest talking to your hair dresser and easing into it because you probably have dark eye brows so you wont want extremely blonde hair. Try getting highlights or streaks first. Good luck.

HELLO.....i hope i got to you in time!!!!!!! the product you need is "TEXTURE TONES" BY DARK & LOVELY...they diffrent colors for women of color reds, blonds, browns..etc. that is the one that i use. there are two for blond..the box that has a picture of the woman that has a curly hair-do is most likely the one that will fit the other is a brighter-yellow blond.
(my orig. hair color is dark brown)
you can wash it out when the desired color is reached you will be able to tell when you look in the mirror(edges are little brighter) so check the top and middle for the correct shade of color.
it contains NO BLEACH...it has a booster in it, and conditioner in the color so the hair is not dry(after coloring).
i've been using it for 3yrs.
TEXTURE TONES
no bidgen or hemp colors(they harm the hair shaft makes it REAL DRY)

you should try highlights first... and see how that works... but do not use bleach... because that will only damage your hair tremendously
