: I'm leaving for Hong Kong in two days, my wife will join me in about two weeks, I want to sell my Jeep a a really good price by buyer standards, but I won't be here. So.. I want my wife to sell it before she goes... The car is in my name so there is not enough time to switch that and sell it also... so "How do I give my wife the Power of Attorney to sell my Jeep?" by the way I live in San FrAncisco California...

Your wife doesn’t need “Power of Attorney” to sell your car. Just sign the title (in several places) and leave it with her. Don’t forget to complete the Release of Liability at the top of the title and request the buyer complete their portion. The Release of Liability is mailed to DMV by the seller.

I just sold my daughters car for her. She never met the buyers. This brings up the point of your wife’s safety. A man was recently shot in Vallejo selling his car and there have been several thefts in San Jose from armed men contacting sellers on Craigslist.

You should insure your wife’s safety in this endeavor before you leave.

Good Luck
