It's more than possible and definitely safe, assuming it's not excessive for your body type. You could easily lose 5 pounds a week, safely, by nothing more than limiting your diet and exercising moderately high.

During such a diet, I should probably mention the first thing you need to do is cut back on sodas or other drinks; increase fruit drinks and water (gatorade/powerade are also fine.) Supplementing any moderately-high fatty snacks which you may eat with fruits and vegetables is the quickest way to start losing based by diet. If you eat a lot of carbs, cut back slightly, no more than half. If you reduce the number of heavy meats you eat by eating fish or chicken instead, it will also make a big difference.

When exercising, cardio-aerobic is the most effective. Running is the most effective, followed by swimming and biking. Eliptical workouts also fall under the category with slightly lower results but it is lower impact than running, reducing chance of injury. Your workout schedule should cater to your desires. I recommend no less than 3 workout days a week, and no more than 6. Each workout session should last at least 1 hour, with 15 minutes of warmup/stretching, 30 minutes of the workout, then 15 minutes of warm down/stretching. a workout lasting more than 2 hours for anyone below professional is generally pushing too far, or isn't working hard enough during that time. You should work hard enough to feel like you're pushing yourself, but not so hard to break yourself.

Another recommendation I generally advise is to do 15 pushups and 30 crunches every morning when you wake up and every night before you go to bed. You can break it into sets as necessary, but it should be completed within no more than 15 minutes. If you feel you can do more than the recommended, by all means, do so. Also, this is an exercise plan you can perform 7 days a week with low probabilty of injury. The only issue you may find with this is that you will lose weight, dropping fat and gaining lean muscle, but you will later gain weight when that lean muscle becomes strength muscle, which is somewhat heavier and bulkier.

You could easily lose 30 pounds within a month if you work it properly, though I would set a goal closer to 10-15 per month. It's a little safer to lose about that much in a month than anything much higher. With it, there's a reduced risk of injury or illness and your overall health will improve. I hope this has been helpful and good luck.

You can lose 2 1/2 pounds a week safely which adds up to 10 pounds a month. Cut out most of the bad carbs like bagels, bread, all sweets, do easy on the fat and drink 2 liters of water a day. Load up on Veggies, go easy on the corn and peas, good amount of meat, cut of most of the fat, concentrate more on chicken and tuna. And you need to increase your level of activity, walk, run at least 3 times a week for an hour, lift some weight, if you don't have any, lift gallon jugs of water or bleach or whatever is in them. Don't forget to stretch your muscles after exercise to release the lactic acid they build up during. This will help eliminate muscles aches the next day.
Good Luck, I am in the same boat!

It is possible to lose 20-30 pounds by march. Buy you have to dedicate yourself to doing it, no slacking off and no cheating. Eat 3 healthy meals a day and exercise 5 days a week for at least 30 minutes a day and the pounds will melt off. But its not easy you have to really put yourself into it, no fast food. Well good luck.

Hmm...what a question! That problem is very common among us humans.
Good diet and training can increase muscle, lose bad fat, gain years of life, although....
dieting...is bad. You need a lifestyle diet. Its what you eat, or what you do, and how you are doing it, and how HARD you want it to be done. Things like that are lifestyle diet.
NEVER cut calories, ONLY find your calorie intake, and stick to that. Cutting calories cuts your chance to lose weight because the less you eat, your body will realize you're starving yourself and wont get allot more food, it will store EVERY bit you eat time to time, and that is called fat storing. You need to eat 6 meals a day, instead of three. Only, don't eat junkies. Eat healthy like protein, salad, veggies, fruits, fibers, etc. If you make 6 meals a day a habit, your body will adjust and start to think you're never going to stop eating so it will burn twice the calories and will raise your metabolism, ALSO, you need allots of VITAMIN C, B, B2H, E, D, (Vitamin D is the sun, be sure to put sunscreen on before you go outside, even if it's wintertime!) You need strong bones, and muscle to be able to keep up with your activity list.
If you follow the right lifestyle diet, exercise three to four times a week, you will be on the right path to life of goodness and fitness! Good luck sweetie,
Ciao

Cut 1000 calories a day from your maintenance level (look at charts or calculators online to know where that is for your height, weight and age) and you could lose as much as 2 lbs a week. --so, let's see... that's 11 weeks=22 lbs. Yes, it's possible.

PLEASE NOTE: A GRAM OF FAT IS 9 CALORIES; A GRAM OF CARBOHYDRATES IS ONLY 4. DON'T GO TOO HEAVY ON THE FATS IF YOU CRASH DIET -- IT WON'T WORK AS WELL FOR YOU.

Cut sweets out of your diet completely. Drink water and plenty of it. Water helps flush fat out of your system, I know that sounds silly, but its true. (I am a medical assistant at a wellness center). Cut back on sugary drinks like sodas and tea. Eat lean foods and a variety of veggies. For snacks try celery sticks, carrot sticks, a banana, a light yogurt, or an apple.

Be sure to do at least 10 minutes of exercise each night, even it is jogging in place. Also, get plenty of rest.

Good luck to you!
