Baja. This isn't really fair to Baja--it was just a horrid experience because I went with a guy I knew, his son & his son's friend in AUGUST & we camped on the beach where I grabbed the only spot of shade in a rock cleft, that lasted about 10 minutes! No other cover, ants, hermit crabs & so on. The sunsets were glorious & so was the water, & I turned a deep mahogany colour of which I was very proud! I also had to drive both ways because the kids were afraid the guy would get us killed. It was so hot, his son's camera melted in the car. But as I said, this isn't fair--there are wonderful places to stay in Baja, & NOT in August!

Edit: Someone mentioned Mexico. I LOVED San Miguel, & Guanajuato is MAGIC. Patzcuro (can't spell!) & much more. I would say to stay away from Mexico CITY.

El Paso, Texas. I have seen it and never have to go there again. I thought the moon was desolate but good God, this place takes the cake. Sure there are nice people, and many shops. But it makes the Mojave Desert look like an Osais.

I tell people that they don't ever have to go there. To skip it.

I drove through Georgia one July when it was over 100 degrees. I won't be doing that ever again. Love Atlanta, keep the rest.

I would not go to the Seminole Hard Rock Reservation hotel again. Food too expensive, way too loud and much too wild. Personal preference, but would not go.

Midland, Texas. Went there on a long flight specifically to visit the "Commemorative Air Museum". It had very few aircraft, most being worked on, and a dirty hangar. Very disappointed.

well i would not want to stay in the 2 star hotel i stayed in in londen. We asked for two beds for three people and they gave us two very small beds (smaller than twin) pushed together. The bed was uncomfortable the food was bad and we they switched our rooms several times. ONe time someone was already in the room. We hated it.
