Hi Georgina, having read your profile, you obviously have many difficulties to contend with in life. However this should not stop you from enjoying that life.Unfortunately the world is full of people who judge on first impressions, just look at some of the replies you have had so far!
Don't let the ignorant,self-centered morons drive you away.If you like going to that pub, keep going.Talk to the people, get to know them.More to the point let THEM get to know YOU.

Sounds like just what they would do in my town!

But you are not the wierd one, or the one with the problem, they are.

Maybe they are just laughing cause they know you are doing a very normal thing, and hoping to find someone nice that could turn into a dating relationship, if that is what you are doing.

And they just plain and simply have not grown up yet! Honestly, I have met people that chronilogically entered adulthood awhile ago, already! And they are still chidish enough to think that sex is dirty. My G.. grow up already, I feel like telling them!

And they could be laughing and getting a kick out of the idea that you might have actually been thinking there was a nice person among them.

And concerning that, they know better. Cause they already know full well what they are, and that you are way to good for them.

Sounds like finding a person that's any good there would be like finding a needle in a haystack, but ya can sometimes find a good situation even in strange places.

So if ya can move on to a better place to go, maybe that would improve the odds just like that! If you're looking, I'm still guessing.

If you can't, stick em' out! Maybe, tough it out! Show em' you got just as much right to be there as they do and if they don't like it, they can leave! Right! Charge!

Charles is right, Pinky. Don't bother about these stupid people who have such sad lives that they would pick on a lovely person like you to make themselves feel bigger.

Go to the pub if you like, and ignore their comments, but a word of warning - never go by yourself and never drink more than you know you can handle. There are a lot of not nice people around - maybe even in your pub - so you must always be with someone when you go there.

Let us know how you get on!

You are drawing this attention to yourself without realising it, believe it or not see yourself as you want to be and you will be. I used to be a klutz, if I went into a shop was guaranteed to drop something off the shelf or bump into someone, I used to trip and fall and I thought everyone was laughing at me,but that was because I had low self esteem. I had moved to a different town where I didn't know anybody and I was always anxious and watching people to see if they would be laughing at me. I got over it when I stopped looking at people and started looking at myself. Love yourself for whatever you are, we are all special.

do you know why there laughing at you? for instance, is it the way you dress, the way you talk, the way you act when had a drink, because of your personality, etc.

and what sort of people laugh at you, your fella and his mates other locals or your mates.

If its your mates you should ask them why and if its hurting you find other mates that care for your feelings.

If its your fella and his mates sit down and tell him that he is to tell his mates to stop it or it'll put your relationship on the line.

if its just other people such as locals that sit around the bar then laugh at them back- it it does your head in that much change where you drink,

Either you are paranoid or you need to find out why they are laughing at you... more likely they are just drunk and laughing amongst themselves - they probably didn't even notice you walk in the door
