Ok, so this girl and I were kinda seeing each other, but then she told me she wants to be friends. Things have gone a little sour. I stopped talking to her, but she keeps coming over and talking to my friends when im with them, and she has also started to flirt madly with another mate when im around, sitting on his lap all the time etc.
I've also noticed her staring at me when im talking to people, in the pub. And when I was talking to another girl she interrupted by saying "he's taken". What the hell is going on??!!!! I am extremely confused...

Shes playing you for an idiot. And you're letting her.
So seems to genuinely not want to be with you. But at the same time wants the attention off you- and knows she's getting a reaction by flirting with other men etc.
Tell her you arent interested. When you was talking to this other lass, did you not correct her when she said you were taken. Dont let her make a mug out of you, because she can.

Sounds to me like she enjoys playing games. She is trying to make you jealous. She thinks that the more you want her, the more control she has. She really wants you but, wants to have you backed into a corner. Don't play her games. Tell her straight up, that if she wants to be with you then, no more mind games. If she doesn't then, just leave you alone and stay away. Sometimes girls can be nuts and come up with some off of the wall things.

she needs to realise that she cant have her cake and eat it, she dont want u, but no one else can either. if you like her, have it out with her, tell her how u feel, if she doesn't feel the same, dont be afraid to move on, and if she interupts again, with the same comment, just tell her infront of the other girl, sorry, u had ur chance, you blew it, let me move on... she'll get the hint, and be either gagging for u back, or will move on to...
dont let it get to you tho, there is nothing more satisfying than watching a man squirm...

She's a complete nut job. Or she realized that she does want something, you know the whole you don't know what you got till it's gone syndrome. Talk it out with her if you still want something with her but if not just try to avoid her, and if you can't just ignore her.

She's a baby. She wants to eat her cake and have it. Ignore her and have some fun. If you ignore her, she'll notice you more , like how you notice her and you might end up forgetting aout her in the process. Either way, you don't lose.
