They are not the best of cabinets of course but they have solid wood frames and doors. Everything else is particle board. I'm not looking to spend that much because I'm going to be moving from the house in a couple of years anyway.

my experience as a contractor has shown me that the inexpensive cabinets that are available at Lowes or Home Depot are fine if you are aware of a few things. Even though the cabinets look great they often have inferior hinges(good hinges are expensive) Another thing that is really important is that you must have very accurate measurements as to your kitchen layout and design, take a photo and also make an accompaning drawing with dimensions when you order your cabinets. good luck!!

We put the maple American Woodmark cabinets in our vacation rental cabins about 2 years ago.
We do clean them often but they have held up just great. We haven't had any problems with the doors loosening or drawers getting stuck or anything.
Unfortunately, renters aren't always careful with someone else's items, but these sure seem to have held up well so far.
If you'd like to take a look at them, try http://pleasantvalleycabins.com and take a look at the kitchen in the photo gallery.
Good Luck.

I PUT THE HOME DEPOT STUFF IN MY LAST 2 HOUSES, THE ONE B-4 THAT QUALITY CABINETS FROM MY CABINET SUPPLIER @ WORK, & B-4 THAT CUSTOM 3/4" ASH PLYWOOD.
THE HOME DEPOT STUFF IS FAR BETTER THAT WHAT YOU GET IN A NEW HOME!!!! UP TO SAY $ 200,000 OR SO. THE HAND BUILT STUFF WAS GREAT, BUT I MADE THE MISTAKE OF PAINTING IT.
