My current Tire Size is 265x65x17 - what is the largest tire size I can go without having to purchase new rims?

I own an 03 sierra and by cranking the torsion bars up one and a half turns I mounted 285/75/R16 on my factory wheels. They have enough clearance to be off road capable without rubbing on the bumper or fenders.

Depends on the rim width. If you have 10" wide you can run 285/60R17. Check out this tire size calculator:

I have seen a Sierra with a 315/50/17 looked good and fat
