HI,
YOU ALL ARE VERY IMPORTANT to them and Jehovah!
I wonder if people felt the same way about Jesus when him and his disciples went preaching and teaching door to door? These comments about invasion of privacy is silly, they don't open your door and barge in. The reason why people hate them is because Jesus foretold, "If they hate me, they will hate you. The servant is not better than the master." Who else in the world is going door to door to teach and preach as Jesus commanded? The bible says that if a true servant does not preach and teach they can be held blood guilty and God doesn't want anyone to perish at Armageddon so he sends his servants to proclaim his new kingdom. Do you think it is easy going door to door and people treating you terrible and humiliate you? NO, it is the quality of humility that they are showing and they are willing to share the good news freely, willingly, and lovingly! They take time out of their day unselfishly to try and teach you, just think about that, YOU ALL must be very important for them to do that! Jehovah's message is so important that if his servants didn't do it he says the rocks would shout it out! Isn't it better for people trying to teach you than rocks shouting at you?
think about it. why else would some take the abuse at the door other than they think something they might say something that could save your lives? Saving just one life is worth all the stuff they face at the door.

I have some JW friends, so it's not their religious preference that bothers me. However, the ones who are my personal friends know better than trying the sales pitch with me. As for the door-to-door thing, I don't like anybody coming to my private residence trying to convert me. I'm quite happy as a Catholic, and they should leave the moment I say so.....but they don't. They've always got to say something else, or toss in another comment or question, trying to get me to leave that door open.
My church doesn't go around pounding on unsuspecting strangers' doors, and I fully expect other religions to show the same courtesy. If I want information on the Jehovah's Witnesses, then I know where their website is, and I know where the local Kingdom Hall is, too, if I should decide to attend a meeting. No high-pressure sales pitch needed.

Many people that I know consider Jehovah witnesses as a cult-like group. The witnesses take obscure pasages in the Bible- like not celebrating one day more highly than the other (hence no Bday,Xmas or holiday celebrations), the "life is in the blood" (hence no blood transfusions because that is stealing a person's
life), no graven images (some witnesses will not even take or view photos or play cards) and only Jews go to heaven. Some witnesses believe both Jesus and the devil are sons of GOd. These strange beliefs cause many people to feel nervous inviting them in,and some witnesses act strangley as they stand in front of a person's door. My mother-in-law was a Jehovah's witness and of all the religions I have been associated with, hers seemed to demand that she subscribed to the strangest beliefs and seemed to give her little comfort about where she stood with God.

People in general are very rude. I think it is funny to read the answers people have written. Sheesh, if Ed mcMahon ceaslessly rang your door bell, would you run him off with a gun, or be rude. Jehovah's Witnesses really think that they need to go out and preach. They don't care how ruse you are to them. If they 'save' one person, then it is a good day. I think that people should exercise common courtesy. If they ring your door bell, tell them that you are not interested. Don't pretend to be interested. Don't argue or be rude.

Do you believe the Apostles, along with the other early Israeli Christians were annoying in trying to teach their follow Israelis that the beliefs they held true for hundreds of year was no longer valid? Do you think that the early Israeli Christians should have kept their beliefs to themselves and not bother people with it? Should they have just waited in their congregations for people to come to them?
Ask yourself this: The Israelis was the first of God's Blessed People, until they began falling away, as foretold, finally rejecting the coming of Christ, despite the fulfillment of prophesy.
Christians were the second of God's Blessed People, until they began falling away, as foretold, finally rejecting the possible second coming of Christ, despite the fulfillment of prophesy.
The Bible teaches that three of anything represents perfection.
If the Jews were the first, and Christians were the second, whose the third and final, perfect representatives of God and Christ? Can't be Christians, as they have fallen away as predicted, repeating the same mistakes of the ancient Jews. So, is it the Muslims? Or the Buddhists? Perhaps it's the Mormons. Is it your religion? It can't be Christendom as a whole or even some large part of it, as Christ said the gateway is narrow and the pathway difficult. What small group, comparative to the whole, is the third and final group representing perfection?
Is it Jehovah's Witnesses? If it isn't than perhaps you have a valid reason to act like the ancient Israelis when they fellow Christian Israelis came to their doors.
Perhaps they were even right, that this new group was just a cult, following the teachings of an itinerant preacher who was crucified for cause by a government he refused to pledged his allegiance to like his fellow Israelis.

I go door to door and no one has EVER slammed the door on me. they politely say im not interested. the reason y they dont like us because people dont understand why we go door to door. When someone tells me that they are not interested it doesnt hurt my feelings at all. i just go to the next door hoping someone will listen to the words of jehovah. I dont force anyone. if i see that they are not intersted then i say thank you for your time and walk away. its that simple. People like what we do, some people dont. what can i do but live my life the way jesus christ lived his

The premise of this so-called "question" is demonstrably false. Globally, there are about 6.5 million active Jehovah's Witnesses, yet about 14 million associate with Jehovah's Witnesses. Their publications "The Watchtower" and "Awake!" enjoy circulations of about 27 million and 32 million per issue.
http://jw-media.org/people/statistics.htm
It is true that Jehovah's Witnesses are not loved by everyone.
http://jw-media.org/newsroom/human_rights.htm
Some people hate Jehovah's Witnesses out of ignorance, or over some misunderstanding. A few may have had a bad personal experience with an individual who claimed to be a Jehovah's Witness, and prejudicially extended their animus to this entire Christian religion.
However, it seems that the majority of anti-Witness hatred is motivated by religious intolerance and bigotry. A few may even be motivated against their Christian worship by the unseen 'god of this system of things', Satan the Devil.
(2 Corinthians 4:4) the god of this system of things has blinded the minds of the unbelievers
Interestingly, such "hatred" should be expected by true Christians in this time of the end, and it actually helps identify Jehovah's Witnesses as Christ's true disciples:
(John 15:19) If you were part of the world, the world would be fond of what is its own. Now because you are no part of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, on this account the world hates you.
(Luke 6:22) Happy are you whenever men hate you, and whenever they exclude you and reproach you and cast out your name as wicked for the sake of the Son of man.
(1 Peter 4:4) Because you do not continue running with them in this course to the same low sink of debauchery, they are puzzled and go on speaking abusively of you.
(2 Timothy 4:3-5) For there will be a period of time when they will not put up with the healthful teaching, but, in accord with their own desires, they will accumulate teachers for themselves to have their ears tickled; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, whereas they will be turned aside to false stories. You, though, keep your senses in all things, suffer evil, do the work of an evangelizer, fully accomplish your ministry.
It seems signficant that the relatively small religion of Jehovah's Witnesses are the ones best known for their worldwide preaching work. Yet Jesus commanded that ALL who would call themselves "Christian" perform this public work:
(Matthew 28:19,20) Go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit, teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded you. And, look! I am with you all the days until the conclusion of the system of things.

I don't dislike them, I just know the truth along with most people...and most people know that JW's are a false religion and are false teachers.
They took the Holy Bible (original manuscripts,) deleted scripture, changed scripture and added scripture. Then they called it the New World Translation. Take a look at Rev.22:18-21. This tells you what happens when you add and take away from the Bible.
Take for instance their teaching on Rev. 7. JW's teach that it is they that are the 144,000. The Holy Bible (except their version) states that the 144,000 are the Jews.
Look it up at www.bible.com or www.biblegateway.com and look at different translations. You will see for yourself.

Because I answered the door one time and the lady got ticked at me because I started asking her questions and arguing with her about what she was saying because I have different beliefs than she did. They get very mad if you don't believe what they are saying and try very hard to get you to change your beliefs. It was fine for this lady to believe what she wanted to, but I was not the one ringing her doorbell to try to change her beliefs. To me, Jesus is the answer and the only answer. Jehovah's witnesses in my opinion have a bad habit of trying to pick verses out of the bible to mean what they want them to mean instead of reading the whole thing and getting the full picture.

Like the old song says... "shut de door, keep out de devil!" Their organization is a false prophet in today's generation. They only do and think the way the Governing Body in NYC tell them to. Why listen to lies when you can enjoy hearing the Truth.
