Not just the Chinese, cat and also dog are eaten throughout east asia, and why??
Well why do aborigines eat iguana, why do eskimo eat seal and the icelandic and japanese eat whale?
It's available and its edible and it's probably economical too!
Eating cat may be a bizarre concept to us westerners, but people around the world eat just about anything and everything.

Because it's nutritious!! Remember Chinese eat healthily. But cats used to be one of the delis in southern China, not because people are barbarians, but cat meat have certain good effects on human body.And if you say dogs and cats are human's best friend, so what happened to chickens?cows?pigs? ect.

it was said that Chinese eat almost anything with... but other Asian eating caterpillars, earthworms, ants, even duck foetus out of unhatched eggs... even westerners like a German village served rat as a dish, and Australian offer kangaroo and crocodile meat...
so what's wrong with eating cat? other interesting dishes... dog, bat, iguana, snake, frog, turtle...
