I have a tattoo that takes up almost two thirds of my back (its in the lower part). I was just wondering if i go down 2 dress sizes in 6 months will it shrink? and if so what is an appropriate time to allow the tattoo to stay normal. I love my tattoo and I dont want it to change at all.

Listen, your tattoo will shrink with your weight loss, but it will still take up 2/3 of your back, you will just have a smaller back.. This is not really a bad thing, I would worry if it didn't, because then it would be going into your sides.
Good luck with your weight loss.

If one put's on weight the tattoo will be pulled out of shape due to streching out of the dermal layer of skin, if the stretching is even in all directions distortion will be minimal, however the image will be noticeibly lighter. As to your question I believe the opposite would apply, unfortunatley I havent been tattooing long enough to give you a definitive answer on that.

well, no matter what its going to shrink b/c thats the way things are. if you lose the weight slowly, then it wont shrink as much as it would if you were to lose 6 lbs. in 2 weeks.

I've lost 5 kilos in my first week. It's my 10th day and I have included salad with some protein (eg. egg/ lean chicken) as you suggested. After 4 years of trying, the fat is finally coming off. It truly feels like magic!

If you loose weight slowly then it won't really shrink. And you'll hardly notice it.

Your back stores very little fat so it should be just fine. If you are very worried about it use a lotion with Q10 in it, but the best thing you can do is to replace the fat with muscle. And don't forget to drink your water!!
