They are at peace. There is no pain in heaven so no they cannot "look down" at those of us still alive. That is the Lord's job!

Some people have a huge impact on our lives and I feel that we sometimes don't want to let go.
I believe that after a person dies that you have been very close to, we tend to look for them in different ways.
Something out of the ordinary may happen and because we want so much to believe that they have a part in it and are visiting us we connect them with the event.
I don't see any harm in this as it comforts the person missing them.
Every one believes in different things and I believe that they are still around and can help us get over our loss.

So anyone in heaven would be free to look down at us live people at any time?

So your grandmother can watch you have sex with a guy you hooked up with at a bar?

I understand the idea of someone looking down at you is comforting, but only at certain times.

Yes they can. They are close to us a lot of the time.

When you have a thought of someone who is passed over that is them putting that thought in to your mind.

You can look at them as Guardian Angels if you wish.

man I hope not, why would those who have left this sinful world behind want to be reminded of it. And to be honest in heaven in the presence of God I think you have more important things to do, like praising and thanking God

I have felt like before, that my Dad was there beside me when I made a decision and he let me know it was a good thing to do.

Maybe it was just in my heart, that I know that's what HE would have done, ya know?
