i really like this guy and he's a year orlder than me. i know he likes me but whenever i try to talk to him, he gets all quiet but when he's with his friends he's ALWAYS talking. how can i get him to talk to me??

If he's quiet around you, there's probably a good chance he already likes you somewhat. I'm pretty animated around friends but when I was around a cute girl I often got nervous.
Either way, though, there is only one really solid approach to finding out if someone likes you:
BE DIRECT.
You don't have to cheese it up and say, "I like you do you like me?" or some other such corny nonsense. But you can be pretty clear about your feelings with other compliments.
For instance:
"I like the way you handle yourself with your friends. Maybe we could hang out sometime?"
Direct honesty can even be shocking and refreshing to the object of your affection. What if you went up to him and said,
"I see that you talk and laugh a lot with your friends, but you get pretty quiet around me. Do I make you nervous, or are you just shy with nice girls?"
This kind of question puts the ball in his court right away, without having committed yourself to any embarrassing turn-down.
Keep in mind, too, that if you approach him and he DOESN'T like you, there's no reason to be upset because you haven't lost anything! You never had him in the first place.
So, as far as approaching him, you have everything to gain and
NOTHING TO LOSE. Think about it.

Just keep flirtaciously trying to get his attention. Some times, a lady pulls her top up, infront of me, so that I see some of her skin, and follow her. I've come close to following, but had to stick to my priorities at those times, though. Try this, every time you're infront of him. If it doesn't seem to work the first few times, keep doing it, anyway, until it does. It could, eventually! How much skin you show is up to you, but doesn't have to be much. You can try other methods, too, by the way, as you think of them.

you have to be veeeery comfortable around him so he can start coming out of his shell; he's shy how cute! either u become a fox and tell him straight u like him that should work if not being urself around him he'll eventually get tired of being quiet and will want to start talking to you. maybe he has bad breath? he's probably shy so lift up his self esteem: hey daddy, i'll be your dairy queen and you be my burger king... whatever, get him to laugh. or start a topic that has to get him to talk no matter what. oh i know! go to a nearby park at night, my man and i used to get so comfy there!

Sounds like he's not that into you. If he was, he'd be talking to you. Pretend you're not that into him, and see what happens. If he wants to talk, let him approach you. If not, don't hound the guy by trying to make small talk. He knows you like him...give him a chance to make the move...just chill a bit.

He must be the type who is shy around girls he likes. Find out his interests, then invite him to whatever he's interested (ie, go to a ballgame together, etc). If you just wanna strike up a convo with him, just ask him what he does for fun, and the convo will escalate from there.

he's shy and not sure of himself. Guys are like that around girls they like. Sometimes the girls have to make the move.

make him work for it and dont be a slut while doing it and be ur self not some prefect (fake) girl that guys really dont wont cause all that does is screw u up (and dont flash if thats just horny guy who only think about sex and no one wants 2 b with a loser like that

just dont like go over him..just be yuor self,but dont act really cool.dont be mean to him or hes gonna know u like him...then hes gonna think yuor weird..maybe try to ask him what kind of music he likes..like for example,if he says he like fall out boy then u say i like fall out boy to! there thats all the advise i have for u..if it works tell me!oh and join his group of friends so he and u can talk.give it a try!
