Before you buy a Cadillac take a good look at the Mercedes line. Admittedly, Mercedes quality has suffered since the merger with Chrysler and the decision to build cars for the masses. But the E class cars are still really, really nice. The CLS class is awesome, and of course the S class cars are stunning. And if you are interested in an unequaled "affordable" luxury coupe, take a spin in a CL class. If you want an amazing luxury brute look at a G class. If you want the ultimate auto then get the AMG package for any of these models.
I'd stay clear of the C class and SLK class cars at all costs. And the CLK class isn't much better. These are the new mass appeal-entry level cars that have so many problems. The M class vehicles have a dismal record as well.
I don't know about the R, or GL class vehicles.

i would strongly suggest against getting a Cadillac. A Cadillac is a fancy Chevrolet. Cadillacs have so many features and electronic gadgets that there is always something going wrong. Plus, a Cadillac will not retain its value very well. I've heard that the value drops $10,000 in the first 6 months of ownership. Take a look at Toyota and Honda before you buy a Cadillac.

I would say to avoid Cadillac due to the brand's reliability problems. Instead, go for a Lincoln, which has fairly decent reliability and is ever bit as luxurious as the Cadillacs, particularly the Lincoln Mark VIII, Navigator, and Town Car. However, avoid the Lincoln LS - this car also had poor reliability. Another vehicle that may be worth looking at for Cadillac-style strengths would be a Buick Park Avenue Ultra or Roadmaster, or a Chrysler LHS. These cars have solid reliability, many luxury items, tons of room, can often be found for cheaper than a Cadillac or Lincoln, and are often in great shape no matter the mileage (mainly due to them being owned by older people who really, really took good care of them).

I've had four Cadillacs and really liked all of them, but I've bought them all used rather than new because you get much more for your money. My current one is a 2002 DTS. Recently, I took it in for repair and they gave me a 2007 DTS as the complimentary rental. I didn't like the 2007 at all. It was much smaller on the inside than my 2002, and the interior was not nearly as nice as mine (perhaps it was just the low-end model, that rental companies prefer to buy). I'm tall, so I need a large car, and I really don't like the downward trend in size that I'm seeing from Cadillac. They seem to think that they need to make their cars more "sporty", but for me it just makes them less appealing. I'm not sure I'll ever buy a Cadillac again.

Depends on why you want it.
You appear to be a pretty young lady....
I had a friend that was like you and she thought it would make her look hot and like she was somebody....
It didn't.... It made her look like a wannabe....and it was sad.....
Go for safety & performance first....then worry about what the car looks like later.... As to your question of "Should I".... Cadillacs can be expensive to maintain, you might want to keep that in mind.
