My female friend has a bestfriend that is an asian male. Well the rest of the group always gives her presents like asian porn or nude asian pictures as a joke. Is this rude? I told them that they were just friends and I thought the jokes and presents were rude. They disagree and find it funny. Is this rude or am I uptight?

yes its rud,if the others are friends,then their not aisins and other people suffered enough,thru wars and by being predigest times we all need to get along they are human just like we all are

I think this is definitely rude and in bad taste. Their joke is solely directed at this Asian male friend and not at any of her other friends, thus singling their friendship and this Asian man out. If they included all members of this "friend circle" to be brunt of the joke then I would just call it just bad taste, since it's not, it's definitely rude and immature. As far as all the jokes being centered around porn and human naked body..... tell your friends to GROW UP.

Not only is it rude but it is racist. Why do they care whether they are or are not in a relationship and what do they have against Asians..... Very Rude and inconsiderate. If your friends friends find any of the gifts he will not be very happy.

This is not just rude but disrespectful. Also, it's walking a fine line between very poor taste/judgement and plain old racism.
