I dated the girl of my dreams for about 9 months. Everything was really good and fine. And then she started hanging around this kid that I told her I didn't like and we both knew that he liked her and she had feelings for him before we started going out. She had told me when we first started going out that she could never date him because he was an alcoholic and when we were going out he was a total jerk to her because she was dating me. But she hung around him more and more and then one night after getting home from his house from 6 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. because of this stupid movie night thing he was having at his house we got into this fight and then she broke-up with me. She said it was because we were always fighting but the fact was we were fighting about him and she said it wasn't fair to me if she was with me and liked him. But 2 days after shes dating him. I have talked to her recently and she says that she loves me even tho she didnt want to and she misses me. Do I keep trying?

She says that she loves me and misses me. I just don't get it. You don't leave the person you love for the person you like. Shes going thro some tuff stuff with her parents (divorce) and I'm going thro some bad things too. She said that if it doesn't work out with him then she would only wan to be with me. But do I really want that? I mean I want her to give me a second chance because I realize that more than just a couple of times I was a jerk too but I never but mysekf in a position where I would have second guesses. But she did My close family and friends tell me that I should just cut her off completly and see if she comes back and if not then she doesn't want me. I just want to know if anypne else can give me some more advice. I really love her and shes told me the same. I just don't know the best way to deal with this. She was more than just my partner but also my Bestfriend. When I needed advice I always went to her and I'm really lost right now. What do I do?

I'm sorry for you...I hope that you are doing ok.

Girls are so dumb sometimes. You do realize that if YOU did that to HER she would be all over you like a fly on poo?! She wanted to try someone new, and then didn't like it and now wants the compfy blanky (you) back.
If it so easy for her to completely change your life, then I don't think she is really comitted to you. I think you are compfortable to her and it is hard to throw away a compfy blanky, or a favorite mug, or whatever.
Please...you seem so nice....don't be railroaded. You are suffering a sever case of lack of self esteem. Good luck to you, k.

I'd give her another chance. To get to know someone better you have to get really involved with them. My guess is since she dated this jerk, she finally see him for what he really is. You have your whole life ahead of you if this doesn't work out. If she keep breaking up with you and going back to this guy, let her go. You SHALL find someone else maybe even your soulmate. I'd rather have my soulmate then my dream girl. Think about it and good luck.

No, because you'll be the only one trying. It's not fair to you to love someone and they don't love you back, it's a hurting feeling for sure. Continue to be her friend and give her some space. Get busy doing things that you like with your friends and someone will come your way.

It sounds as if she doesn't know what she wants. Do you want to deal with someone like that? Proceed at your own risk.
Good Luck!

Let the other guy have her, she's made it obvious she wants him too.
