Jesus is not divine in Judaism or Islam...yet his divinity is the touchstone of Christianity. Jesus warns about the fate of those who reject his teachings...it will be worse than that of those from Sodom and Gomorrah. What's your stance...do all religions provide different perspectives on a common diety or does believing in Christianity require rejecting all other faiths as false?

Yeah, I guess, but so what? They are all based on imaginary characters and make-believe worlds.

There is not one religion that can actually produce its god. There is not one religion that can get its god to do anything in the real world and not just in someone’s imagination. There is not one religion that can get its god to utter even a single sound or move a pebble.

According to Christian doctrine, their god was a regular miracle-making machine 2000+ years ago. Now, the only claims you hear are about some stupid image visible on a half-eaten grilled-cheese sandwich or on a dusty factory window in downtown Chicago (of course, there are the ubiquitous images of Jesus, Mary, Joseph, etc on thousands of tortillas). However, for the last 2000 years the guy has not gotten off his fat butt a single time. What’s up with that? Is the Christian god just lazy - or weak - or dead - or what?

sorry, if judaism is wrong, than christianity is wrong.

I mean if x+6 =10, then x = 4. so if "10" is christianity... if "10" were to prove that "x" did not "=4" than 10 would cease to be true as well.

but the crux of it, is that Judaism is the very thing that disproves christianity BY its being the foundation.

the most "disproving" that christianity can accuse at judaism, without imploding itself, is to claim that its incomplete.

which is absurd, as thats essentially saying that god is either a liar, imperfect, incompetent, or dishonest.

the whole "fulfillment of the law" thing is utter nonsense. theres no concept of "the law" BEING "fulfilled" in judaism. the law is the law.
christianity basically in large, attempts to retroactively, illogically change what it is that judaism belives or was ever looking for.

like the whole "spiritual salvation not real life salvation" thing. that doesn't make any sense. as we already HAD spiritual salvation, we had, and have ZERO use for a god-man savior. we have God himself! Judaism never needed a mediator. never needed a trinity, never needed nor wanted a God incarnate, or a more-divine-than-others-person.

There is not way to justify ecumenicalism. It is a human creation in which they say that we put our believes aside (even the touchstones or cornerstones). At the same time the Bible calls on us to try to live peaceably with all men, however that means that we should allow others to do things different from the way we do them. Being able to agree to disagree is so much more honest than telling people they are right too, when you can't really believe that.

Believing in Christianity requires rejecting other faiths as false.
That's what 2 Corinthians 6: 14-17 says.

I'm sure I will get a lot of dislikes from just about everyone (Athiests, Christians, and Jews) as I'm an adherent of the last link on that religious chain - Islam. I don't want to try and convince you of anything because I think that trying to convince anyone of anything is pointless. I'm more interested in what Aristotle said, which is that the sign of an enlightened mind is the ability to entertain any and every idea without having to accept it. But, anyway, I just want to clear up the chain of relation. I would just point out that Muslims don't accept the theological truth of the NT as Muslims view the NT as being corrupted and changed by people over the years. There are many different versions of the Bible. Muslims do not believe in the NT, they believe in the Gospels of Jesus of which the true versions have been lost. Muslims don't believe that Jesus is the son of God or that God is human. We believe Jesus was a man who was entrusted with God's message - a prophet, teacher - not divine. If God is omnipresent and omniscient, then why if Jesus is supposedly God does Jesus say nobody knows when the end of time will come but the Father? Likewise, the idea of God as 3 in one comes off to us as polytheism and like God suffers from multiple personality disorder at the very least. So, we believe that the corrupted theology of the NT is irrational, especially when compared to the OT teachings that they are supposed to be based on. It's not logical that in the OT God would say he is one but in the NT God is 3 in 1. Why would God lie? Like the Jews, we believe in a monotheistic God, a God who is only One, but unlike the Jews we believe that Jesus was a messenger of God. We also believe that the OT has been corrupted through scribal reproduction over time. Also, lots of stuff in the OT is kind of odd. Like the Prophet Lot gets drunk and sleeps with his daughters. Noah also gets drunk, and passes out naked and his sons have to carry him out in shame. How can I believe in alcholic prophets. There are plenty of drunks out on the curb and when drunk how can I beleive their assertions that they are Prophets of God - I wouldn't - I would think they were the drunk ramblings of someone. The part of the David and Goliath story we rarely hear about is how David tried to kill a guy just so he could sleep with the guys wife. Anyway, I think it's irrational for God to give mankind prophets that you couldn't trust let alone believe in. The Prophets in the OT are Jerry Springer worthy. These are some of the reasons I reject the OT and NT. Why I have accepted Islam would take too long to cover. I just wanted to give you my justifications for rejecting OT and NT.

The bible is 100% true. To compromise is to disobey. How can a true christian believe the JW's, Muslims, Mormons or Catholics, have the same god? It is pure insanity, and yet that is what most are falling for today, esp under the Catholic banner. Be ye seperate! Ecumenicalism = "under one roof", sounds like the false one world religion prophisied in Revelations.

Lets go with Hinduism's view. DHARMA. Everyone has his own path that is right for them. If you are born in the west chances are you will be a christian, or exposed to it. You can believe you are right but still treat others with love and respect. Something sorely lacking from the religious extremists.

You gave me a vision,
made me a promise
and Your promise gave me hope
while walking in the desert.
Knowing You, Faithful.
I set Your promise before me.
I held it
and cherished it.
Your promise to me became synonymous
with Your love
until
I found I worshipped the promise
and lived for it's fulfillment,
not You.
Nothing was anything
unless the promise was true
So I fixed my eyes on the promise
and took my eyes from You.
Your promise was no longer a gift
but a debt You owed.
And I, impatiently waiting,
twiddling thumbs,
"Well? You promised!
Where is it?"
Your promise,
no longer a 'gift'
but 'G-d'.
It took it's wrongful place above You.
"Love the Giver, not the gift.
Love the mouth that speaks-
not the words of the promise
which come from it"
You said.
And then there is one Promise to love
for You were a promise
To Chava
To Yeshiahu
To Miriam
To Shim'on at the Temple
who prayed he'd see You
before his time on earth was through.
And You were not only
the fulfillment of that promise
You are Promise itself
The only Promise worthy
of such devotion
The only Promise greater
than our worship
The only Promise that brings life
and is given to all.
L'dor V'dor-
from generation to generation
never changing.
The only Promise Giver,
Promise,
and Fulfillment.
ECHAD.
