I met an professor once who said "its rational to hate Islam". This took me by suprise, and because I respected him, I considered it for a moment.

First, of course, you must know what Islam really is...you must do the homework.

Its common for simple people reject this, without knowing the first thing about Islam. Unfortunately, westerners are raised to believe that they should love everything. Of course they dont, but they believe they should, and thus reject claims like I make here without even thinking it through.

Why hate Islam? Its like asking whether one should hate "hatred" itself, and the answer is "yes".

Nothing is uglier than the combination of absolute self righteousness and ignorance. Islam consistently manufactures sheeple who are supremely self righteous and supremely stupid.

Now add this ignorance and self righteousness to the hate and genocide doctrines of the Quran. Wow, what a potent mixture that is.

Dude, I totally agree with you. I first I felt bad when I got hateful feelings towards Islam, but with 9/11, the Palistinians killing the Israelis, and all the kidnappings, beheadings and tourture of the innocent in the name of their religion, I was really torn because being raised in the West and all, I was supposed to be tolorent of everbody. Being a Jewish American it is hard for me to not-not like the Muslim people because I represent their biggest enemy simply because of who I am.

Again I just don't understand. I am Christian and it surprises me how many times this question has come out a Christian and a Jewish person.

So how come every time I turn on the tv there is something negative about these people. Wait I know because most of these people are not Muslim and are trying to brainwash people into believing that these people are the most evil creatures.

So answer this why are there so many branches of Christianity? I believe about 17 branches.

I was taught by my family to not judge. So why are we judging these people. All I can do is pray for people like you.

The term "brainwashed" is a term that people apply to those who disagree with their belief. This is especially true in the area of religion and politics. I am not Muslim but I don't think many of them believe no Muslim does wrong. You should not over generalize.

i hate anything that narrows down the ways of looking at and experiencing the world....

however i hope some soul searching is going on in islam about its more xenophobic tendencies.

i have read many books on the subject, and have some hopes of seeing a muslim reformation in the next 10-15 years....

however, if it doesnt start presenting a more tolerant/less blatantly discrimatory face to the world...i believe many people will hate it....and many people will leave the faith, because of a reluctance of its religious leaders to embrace the modern world...and to have genuine respect for other believers including those who choose to believe nothing at all.

Interesting that you say that.
I neither disagree or agree with you. I am still contemplating this....well....

... You can not and should not "hate" Islam. You can criticize is, yes, but you must not hate it. Hate is not even a human emotion. To hate is not humanly. We have been led to believe that the opposite of love it hate. That statement is incorrect. The opposite of love is fear. When you do not love someone you fear them rather thatn hate them...ever noticed that? That is also why it is possible to love those that you hate (your enemies) rather that those that you fear. For when you trul fear someone you find it hard to be around said person.

with that being said ( i flew way off topic). It is wrong to hate Islam. It is wrong to hate anything at all. Most religions preach a doctrine of peace and happiness and contentment. Not hate.

I would say its wrong to hate anyone. Some could believe in Islam but be neither 'sheeple' nor stupid.

You get sheeple and stupid people in all walks of life and religions. The question is will you choose to ignore the many for the actions of the few?

You can hate whatever you want to hate!!! Nobody needs your "love" or support!!!

It really truly is a shame that there are people like you going out of their way to spread "hate". There is enough hate in the world! Why don't you just stop.......you should really be ashamed of yourself. Do you have nothing better to do then sit around and say stupid things and criticize and "hate" on various religions because there not your own!

*sighs*..... Ignorance! And probably a bit of Arrogance!!!

"Hate" is a bad thing no matter what. Yes there are those who converted out of Islam who don't like it, there are also Christians who converted to Islam who say the opposite. You can include Jews, Buddhists, and all other religions as well. For every point you have made and website you posted, there are just as many that disagree.

It's rational to hate all religions including Islam, Christianity, Judaism, Hinduism, and all the other myths and superstitions. They do more harm than good.

However, it is wrong to hate Muslims, Christians, Jews, Hindus, and other people just because of one thing they believe. A person's belief about gods is a poor indicator of whether they are a good person or not.

I don't know, I hate Christianity.
I didn't say Christians, I said Christianity.

First they steal "the god of Abraham" belief, then they twist it all up, and they they turn around and accuse the ppl who they stole the religion from, being wrong (about jesus).

I'm an Atheist and I think the irony of all that, is almost too funny to handle.
