Light,Temperature,Ventilation

Lighting Cycle is important,,,plants need dark periods as well as light,,especially when they are small

The Type of light also matters,,in terms of "bandwidth"--The COLOR of the light.
Blue range light makes lottsa foliage.
Red range light makes roots and blossoms.
Thats a gross Oversimplification.

A common household-type flourescent light is "Too Blue"
And regular incandescent bulbs are "Too Red"

Airflow also has an effect.
Ventilation.
Plants are opposite of people(Hard to tell sometimes,,I know;)

They INHALE Carbon Dioxide that we Exhale.
And,,they EXHALE oxygen,,,that we inhale with air.

Plants without much ventilation sorta "Suffocate" in oxygen they fill a space with.

Temperature is also a factor.
Most all plants have a certain range they favor for growing,,,blooming,,seeding,,etc.

Tomato plants for example,,,they'll grow year round in many climates where it doesnt freeze.
But they'll stop producing tomatoes when temps get outside a certain range.
The plants can be fine & healthy & growing like weeds---but No Tomatoes.

Check the details/requirements for the specific type plants you're growing.
Very possible they are out of temperature range.
It's Interesting,,,Many plants are Very sensitive to temp---they hit a certain point within just 2~3* and it's like flipping a switch.

If you have your project in room,,,like your bedroom,,,,
open a window a short time during the day for ventilation

Might check your water temps too.
Water in hydroponics gets colder than dirt in a potted plant--in a given environment.
Dirt/ Soil always has a sorta self-warming humus effect,,,that hydroponics doesnt.
If your water temp is below about 70*F lots plants dont wanna grow.

It's a tedious balance sometimes to get all the various factors into a favorable range.

Just some Ideas

Good Luck!!!
