There really isn't a good age. But in my personal opinion 14 is very young. I started to date when i was 19 and to be honest with you i don't have any regrets. As a matter of fact i felt that as an adult there's more things you have to offer then as a teen. Spend your teen years hanging out with friends and just enjoy yourself. You'll know when your ready even if it's tomorrow or when your 25. Enjoy your life now while you still can.

Best wishes and Good Luck!!!

Girls mature at different ages. However, I think the average 14 year old is way to immature to deal with the drama that comes along with a boyfriend. In this day and time I see a lot of young kids fighting, emailing or "hate-mailing" and sending vicious text messages over boyfriend/girlfriend stuff. It's easier on the mind to just wait til you're a little older and better (emotionally) equipped to deal with it all.
Good Luck!

i don't think 14 is young! it's just right. i had a boyfriend in 6th grade, when i was 11, but that didn't work out too well, i think 13 is the best age to start having a boyfriend, because you are mature enough to understand love. i have a great boyfriend now & i love him to death im 13, and we have been going out for 3 months now, and still going strong.

A little fling where you go to the movies and hangout is really good! It'll help you know what to do when you get into a serious relationship. Of course, for a "heavy duty" relationship you need to wait until you know yourself better. I see these 8th graders on myspace saying ho much they "LOVE" thier bf, and then they breakup the next day.
If you're ready and have found a sweet, responsible guy go ahead and hold hands
Good luck (if you're looking for a guy to laugh with)
But, if you want to fall in love and junk, 14 is not right.

Any age is right, just remeber though, with relationships come heart breaks. 14 is totally not to young!! I was in grade 5 when i had my first boyfriend.. Dont worry just go for it. Just make sure you pick a guy thats worth it! Also here is a little tip... dont bug the guy to much... and dont pressure him into huging and kissing!

Yes, I think it's too young unless adults are supervising. In my house, 16 is the magic age.
