Who needs a criminal records bureau check under the terms of the child protection act ?

any one who works with children and adults with learning difficulties the ambulance service do checks as well as they deal with children social workers are checked before being offered a job doctors are checked nurses support workers who work with children nannys who would look after children its basically any job involving the care of children

I think its anyone involved with children in a paid or voluntary job, organizing groups eg guides etc. Even if you're going to be a cleaner in a school. I dont think you have to have direct contact with the kids, just be around them. They were going to make us all have one at work, but didnt because we very rarely get child client unless theyre already with a social worker or adult.

the CRB should be available to anyone who wants it, after all would you like a paedophile living next door to you and your children and not know about it ?

anyone working with children, or vulnerable people eg nannies, nurses, youth workers etc... have to be CRB checked
