Im looking for a camcorder and it says that at 10mp its interpolated whats that mean?

It means the sensor doesnt actually have 10MPs, but it can achieve 10MP by taking two interlaced fields and interpolating them into a !0MP picture. Or in normal person speak, it takes half the picture at one point in time (but not just the top half; say, every even line), then it takes another half of the picture (the odd lines) right after it takes the first one, and combines them to form one picture. This is good if nothing in your picture moves, but if there is motion blur or something like that, then you will be able to see the interpolated lines (although 10MP is a lot, and if you downsize to 6MP, you will have super clear quality, and no one will be able to see the interlaced lines).
