The last book in the bible (Revelations) was penned in 96 AD, and was widely translated. The Koran was penned after 700 AD and uses many bible themes in it (i.e. they copied some).

The Hebrew Bible was canonized first, soon after the time of Christ.

The Roman Catholic Bible was canonized around the 4th century and included the Septuigent, a Greek version of the Hebrew text, as Canon.

The Quran was writen by Mohamed 400 hundred years after the Roman Catholic Bible.

The Protestant Bible, which most of us are most familiar with was canonized by Martain Luther. Luther, a Greek and Hebrew language scholar chose to re-interpret the Bible, using the Hebrew Bible as opposed to the Septuigent as originally used by the Catholic church. This is why there are missing books in the Protestant Bible.

The Protestant Bible was canonized last as a completed document.

Others have posted, the "Bible" is older - but perhaps not the bible you may pick up today... The King James version was published in 1611 (see wikipedia below).

Other versions including the "New American Standard" come much later - 1971!

But why is older of significance? Did God speak differently to different people across the timeline? And if so, why is any one bit of writing better?

The Bible started being written around 1500 B.C.
ACCORDING to orthodox Islam, the Quran “is uncreated and eternal and was written from the beginning in golden rays on a magnificent tablet in heaven and was communicated to Mohammed by the angel Gabriel.”
Encyclopedia Americana, Vol. 16

However, how could the Quran be eternal and uncreated and yet written on a magnificent tablet?

Reality has it that Mohammed wrote it during a period of 20 years between 610 C.E. to 632 C.E.
