If we evolved from humans, why are there still humans?

If we didn't evolve from Dodo's, why aren't there any Dodo's left?
If we evolved from a common ancestor, why aren't there any common ancestors left?
If we evolved from Dust, why is there still Dust?

Okay, first of all, we didn't evolve from humans, we evolved from apes.
secondly, there are no dodo's left because they became extinct, because we killed them all.
and we did not evolve from dust. that would be like saying we evolved from rocks, or gravel.
Please, do a little research before asking those types of questions.
