just dont go talking about your weight loss plan to friends. Eat in front of them in the cafeteria so no one thinks you've gone on a diet, but eat slowly and less quanity. Exercize alone after school in addition to the PE you get at school. They'll never know. and when someone says hey, you're losing weight. You say, shut up your just saying that. Good luck.

Hi, I'm afraid that you have fallen into the 'I've gotta look like a model' routine. This is so not true. First being 11 yrs old and not yet having boobs kind of sucks but wait a couple of yrs. and you'll see how dramatically things change.Your body will come into its own and before you know it, I bet you'll fill out just fine. Your friends don't need to know you are trying to slim down. If you eat smaller portions at every meal, and stick to lower fat things you'll find that everything will start to shape up. Most important to remember is there is no secret to losing weight. You have to exercise and put out more energy, than the amount of food you take in. THERE that is the big diet secret. Please contact me if I can help. Please do not give out my e-mail add. Thanks....Turka231

5 ft. tall and 102 lbs. is certainly not overweight. Sounds like you're built a lot like my daughter who just turned 12. And she is quite thin. I understand that you're a year younger....sounds like you're "blossoming" earlier than your friends. They'll catch up with you in that department within the next year, I would guess. Don't let it freak you out so much. Just choose healthy foods and get a reasonable amount of exercise (most kids your age do this naturally). Focus on being healthy, and don't worry about your weight. You'll enjoy life more, and feel more confident.

You are the perfect weight. Don't compare yourself to friends or anyone else. If your boobs are bigger than your friend's you are probably just developing faster than them. 11 is not the same for everyone. Everyone grows at a different rate. Just eat healthy and exercise and you'll be fine. My 17 year old son has a friend (girl) that has been in and out of rehab for anorexia. It isn't pretty.

but you don't NEED to lose weight. you aren't fat. If you feel you need to lose weight, you ARE comparing yourself to your friends who are shorter, weigh less, and have smaller boobs. Just be yourself. You are 11. you aren't supposed to be worrying about your weight yet since you haven't finished growing. Chances are that within the next few months your friends will also start to fill out, and deve;op boobs bigger than yours. Do yourself a big favour and don't look at the movie stars who are really thin. They are unhealthy to the point of being unable to have babies. If you want a roll model, look to UMA Therman( I personally hate her, but she is built properly) Angelina Jolie or Catherine Zeta Jones(although she IS a bit old). These women have healthy builds!

Get involved in regular physical activities - join a netball, basketball, soccer team. Go bike riding, indoor rock climbing, indoor tennis. No one will think your motivation is weight loss because ppl at that age and up to about 17 are into things like that!
Yes, you will feel 100% better once you get involved. Fitter & healthier body, better self confidene, more energy, meet more friends, less time sitting in front of tv or computer eating rubbish!
Best of luck!

Do not worry about your weight. You sound like a perfectly healthy 11 year old. Keep eating healthy food, lots of fruits and veggies and don't muck it up! You only have 1 chance with your body and if you begin to diet or deprive it of what nutrients it needs it will be a big mistake. Your body's weight will readjust itself as you grow older and you need your muscles and fat right now!

i was in your same situation and..i still kinda am again. i'm short like you too! 5foot2 baby! and like you i got buddies that are tinyer than me..and sometimes i wish i could fix things. I'm currently trying to lose alittle wieght myself (i'm about 120). And its something i have in the back of my mind but im not gonna let it controll my life. I was the same way when i was your age..or at leaste thats when i started to worry about things like that. And as i thought about it and thought about it more..my weight went up! my new method and new years resolution is to live it up instead of constantly worrying about my weight. I'm gonna try to stay healthy and make sure i exercise but i'm not gonna let it controll everything anymore. i think you should do the same. Your perfectly normal! anything betweenyour weight and even 130 is normal according to my doctor for us shorties.
Trust me..your young, livee your lifee! Be with your friends..try to be out there and living in the world instead of being at home counting calories and making lists like i did.

Don't eat junk food. Stick to veggies and fruits. Eat 3-5 meals a day (of healthy stuff). Try to exercise for 15-30 min a day if you can.
