I have taken her to the vet and we have her on several medications - ex. clavamox, baytril, enalapril, salix, aeropulmin as well as green tea, ginger tea, honey, dyne and lots of tlc. She won't eat but will drink. I got chicken baby food and mixed it with some green tea and gave it to her with a syringe and she accepted it but then threw it up along with the thick mucus. I'm so afraid I'm going to lose her and I just about did this afternoon. Can anyone please tell me what I can do for the mucus? Her breathing is so shallow and labored. I have already done the hot steam from the shower with no avail. Any advise is most appreciated.

You could ask the vet if she is well enough to take something that will make her cough up the phlem. She may not have enough energy to be able to cough it up though. Poor puppy. :(

I never heard of giving my dog tea. If her breathing is that labored I think you should consider taking her to an emergency vet. clinic. It sounds like she needs to be put on IV fluids to get her strength up since she won't eat. She need more medical attention and the sooner the better.

Sorry to hear that..I would get a second opinion first thing in the morning. I have a 8 week old Boston and at that young of age I would definitely take her to another vet.

If your vet is not able to handle the mucous problem, since these dogs have a tendency for breathing problems anyway, I'd certainly see another vet, not a dumba$$ quack. Good luck. (And, yeah, there are bad vets, same as bad doctors and dentists).

Here is a thought TAKE HER TO THE VET NOW.

If all else fails and the vet can't help there is one thing left to do and I am afraid that that would be putting her to sleep.

That a lot of medication for such a little puppy. I'd get a second opinion immediately. Hope she makes it!
