Its your life to decide what you think is right or not as long as it isn't hurting anyone else. You just have to take into consideration the drawbacks of a prostitute and decide if its really worth the risks to your health and life.

Hi Just Chillin',
Probably the obvious reasons to NOT go to prostitutes is that many of them have diseases and can pass along STDs to you. If you've got AIDs and you're in the sex business, do you really care if you're passing it on to your Johns? They are also in an illegal business, so the possibility of ripping you off is also there. This is more common than people admit.
There's also a chance that the prostitute that you are propositioning is an undercover cop, in which case, you might be arrested. Would that make you a sex offender? I think so.
There is also the financial expense, considering that you can meet up with girls, taking them out and having an honest to goodness relationship that's a lot cheaper and more rewarding.
Still there are many men who are "hobbyists". It's nice for them to be able to go to a girl who will do things with them that their wives, girl friends, or anyone, won't normally do with them. That's why it's the oldest profession.
There's web sites out there such as Craigslist (under services) that have ads in your area. There are also web sites that do reviews of various providers on the Internet that you should probably check out first before seeing them.
I hope that this has helped you.
--Rick

If you are of age, maybe your looking in all the wrong places for a gf. Sex should not be the first thing on ones mind all the time. Sex is usually a part of a loving relationship. If you just want a quick organism, you have two hands. If you are not into that, want a prostitute, be prepared for any and every thing. Your decision.

Legalized Prostitution in the UK and in the US in Nevada has proven to reduce the incidence of sexually transmitted disease and violent crime towards sex workers.
However because there are lots of religious objection to it, legalized prostitution is not popular. In Nevada sex workers and brothel owners pay taxes on their income.... huge amounts.....imagine what we could do with the income if all prostitutes had to pay taxes?
As for the reasons to go.... not only people without boyfriends go. Im not for or against it. I say to each his/her own. But if it is going to be available...it should be legalized so that it can be regulated.
check out the HBO special CAT HOUSE.... its really funny (especially the series) and they talk about the medical regulations and the taxes.

I'm female and I'm not against prostitution, it's been around forever...however it's currently not legal nor regulated and it's really hard to know what you're getting when you hook up with someone...is it worth the risk of STDs? How do you know they are always as safe as they should be?
It's a personal choice but my issue with it is more that underage girls and drug addicts seem to be too prevalent in the industry, and there's no way of knowing if the person you're fooling around with is disease free...or in the industry voluntarily...

To me prostitution seems so dirty and so desperate. I don't think that someone should oppose it. Like you said a guy has needs and I'm sure there's some good money in that profession.

he should go to a prostitute but not often maybe once or twice a month.the reasons not to do it would be the money spent, stds, and being alone and not in love or in a relationship with someone you can never be with.he should concentrate on getting a girlfriend when he's not with the prostitute.

Because promiscous women carry disease. If you want to pay for a disease, most of which aren't curable...Well...Go For it!
Just have something tatoo'd on your forehead warning the rest of the women that you are contaminated. Or maybe a scarlet letter?
Also, masturbation gives you the same physical release as sex., its free, and you never have to worry about getting a disease.

It's a sin for one thing. The other is that his life is at risk! He is subjecting himself to the risk of contracting a STD including AIDS if the female is HIV positive. Is your life really worth risking having sex with someone else that can be a carrier? It's careless!
