10 minute increments on the treadmill 30 min. a day.

3 meals and 2 snacks (This is what I have heard on all the health shows.)

portion control example 1cup=1 serving so a bowl of cereal is a cup of milk and a cup of cereal.

Same goes to other foods. I feel I have portion control problems and do not need to exactly cut out fatty foods but use 1 serving portions. I am 5 ft. and 118lb. I felt my best at 130lb. but for a couple months I was in the low hundreds now I am 118lb.

treadmill--best in the morning to get your metabolism kick started for the day. exercise is exercise whether you divide it up or do it all at once. suit yourself.

portion control--1 cup does not equal 1 serving for all foods. go online and find a site to tell you how much of each food a serving is.

3 meals and two snacks is a good way to start. i end to eat every two or three hours--keeps my metabolism up all day. try to eat protein, carbo, and a little fat for each mini meal.

for instance: 6 oz yogurt, a little fruit, 1/4 cup granola is a good mini meal. 1 oz cheese, four med size whole wheat crackers, and carrots=mini meal. 8 oz coffee (chilled) + 8 oz skim milk + 1/2 scoop chocolate flavored egg white protein (from health food store, optimum brand the best, great source of pure protein which mixes easily and has no gritty texture and no taste except for flavoring) + sugar free sweetener = great treat.

foods to eat: low fat or no fat mik, cheese, and yogurt.
fresh fruit and veggies, lean proteins. whole grain bread, cereal, crackers.

foods to avoid: white stuff: sugar, white flour, white rice and potatoes. overly processed foods. alcohol.

use common sense.

good luck.

Food wise - stick to the most natural diet as possible - fruit, veges, salad, lean meats & fish, wholemeal bread, cereals, yogurt, nuts. And try to avoid more processed foods as much as possible. One important thing is to watch your portion sizes.
It is better to eat smaller portions thorughout the day!

Exercise - for the best results mix it up with cardio - 30 minutes about 4 times a week - make sure you get your heart rate up.
Strength training - 2-3 times a week via weights and a little stretching - through yoga & pilates

You will feel great and be healthy in no time!

Actually I heard this is a very good way to stay healthy. It is what I am doing. But again if you run around doing stuff all day you will need more than just the average. So just try that out and if you get hungry try using 1/3 of a cup more each time until you don't feel hungry all day.

Sounds healthy. As long as you keep on it, it seems like a good plan. Especially the 3 meals and 2 snacks, most people need stuff in between meals and it really helps.

It sounds like a pretty good plan, just keep in mind that this is an average, if you are running around at work all day you will need more nutrients.

Close, doing the 30 minutes all at once will be more effective.
