Any good champagne that has the words "demi-sec"/semi-sweet or "Cremant"/sweet. (read very sweet).

Moet & Chandon - Nectar Imperial Demi-Sec is a good buy.

As far as the terms and types -

1. Ultra Brut or Natural is the driest champagne available. It's maybe too dry for some tastes

2. Brut is very dry and is the standard for fine champagne.

3. Extra dry (actually not a dry as brut).

4. Demi-sec (sec means sweet) or Cremant indicates very
a very sweet champagne.

Christian P has explained very well the dryness of Champagnes by label.

If you want a good, real Champagne with a touch of sweetness, I recommend Mumm Cordon Rouge or Moet Chandon White Star.

If you are new to sparkling wines and want to try something better than Cooks, start with an Italian Proseco. Slightly sweet, lots of fruit, and you can find a good one for $9 to $13 in most grocery stores.

If you want authentic Champagne, you should only buy Champagne made in Champagne, France. If you like them on the sweet side, look for a Brut Champagne instead of a dry one.

The problem with the flat champagne glasses is that they cause the champagne to go flat...hence the reason you cannot find them anywhere. Altho very "ace" looking if you want to enjoy your champagne in all it's glory find a beautiful flute. Your friends will appreciate this more than wondering why your champagne is always flat.

Mumms. Or Schramsberg or Iron Horse. Look for anything on the label that says "Demi-sec" or "Cremant". Those are your sweeter bubblies. Stay away from Brut or Extra Brut because those will be dry and extra dry.

On the affordable side, I like Argyle or Korbel Brut. They are both sweet.

I prefer Martini and Rossi Asti Spumante. It's light, crisp, bubblely, and flavorful. I have toasted many an occasion with this wine and it has never failed me. Always keep a bottle on hand.
