2 of the birds my family have had for 18 years the 2 others for 10. Parents moved to Spain but mother is ill and want my brother to take care of them. All 4 have passports. We are worried about the the bird illness and may not allow to bring them home. 2 African Grays 1 minor Bird and a Blue Crowned Conure.

In the past, 35 days quarantine at your home with you responsible for burning all cage grit paper and droppings etc , also you will be visited by Enviromental Agency inspectors to ensure everything is being done properly. This information is several years old since I last did it so cant guarentee its not changed.

I can't recall all the paperwork involved but I know that each bird will need to be vet checked before it's allowed into the USA. Make certain the paperwork from the vet is in English; the American side may otherwise have a hissy fit. I just wanted to ask you please don't put the birds in the cargo hold (especially the Greys). Greys are nervous birds anyway and I think this would be particularly hard on them. One more thing: it's a "myna" bird I think you mean. Good luck with it all.

Call information and notify the US customs at the port of entry they plan to use.
