soo I heard that I can make mashed cauliflower in place of mashed potatoes (cuz I have no potatoes). I also have carrots. Can I just make mashed veggies (carrots and cauliflower) or will it taste bad?? Thnx

I wouldn't mix it...I would just do the cauliflower and if you want just do the carrots on the side...

Keep the veggies separate...mashed carrots with cauliflower, sounds like baby food...yuck.

The mashed cauliflower is okay as a substitute, but steam the carrots.

Someone I know made the mashed cauliflower. She claimed it tasted just like mashed potatoes. It was a very odd texture and tasted kind of weird as well. Go buy some potatoes.

yeah, I think the cauliflower thing is recommended for people on low-carb diets (eg Atkins). You can't add much liquid, though, or they will be mushy. I would do the carrots separately, though.
