domestic short hairs shed less then long or medium hair. My advice, go to the shelters not the pet store. Pet stores over charge and you'll be saving a cats life from a shelter.

The Cornish Rex is the poodle of cats. It has coarse curly hair. They don't shed at all but they are also very expensive. The is a hairless cat but I can't think of the name right now. You could check with a pet store about where to get these cats or get a Cat Fancy magazine and look at the adds in it.Both cats are expensive though. If you get a short haired cat you can cut down on the shedding by regular brushing. You will become a cat person real fast after knowing one.

Domestic Short Hair and Domestic Long Hair cats tend to shed the same amount. The difference being the obvious, long or short hair floating around your house. Long haired cats require a lot of up keep because if you don't brush them daily, you'll have to shave mats out of their hair and by that time, you should've just gotten a short hair. What you really want is a Sphinx, Rex, or Devon Rex cat. Sphinx cats are hairless like the cat on Austin Powers (Mr. Bigglesworth). They take a little getting used to because it's difficult to look at a "naked" cat. If you prefer your kitties haired but still want the benefit of least shedding, I'd go with a Rex or a Devon Rex. They've got to be some of the cutest and most affectionate cats that I've had the pleasure of treating. That'll be my next kitty because I've fallen in love with Devons. Good luck and I hope this helps!

Persians tend to shed in clumps instead of the way the domestic long or short haired cats shed. You can just pick up the clumps when you see them. They do, however, need to be groomed. There is also a Hairless Egyptian Cat, but as the name implies, it has no hair! Hope this helps you out!

Try a manx. Do not get a long haired cat. They shed the most out of all. But don't be surprised if you see cat hair everywhere. Also, brushing the cat's hair reduces shedding.

probaly a short hair cat or a osicat or a ugly spinks ( the naked cat). but really no matter what kind of cat u get it is going to shed hair! so u might just have to deal with it. if u dont know how to get the hair up then what u get is a roll of tape and that gets hair up really eaisly.

The short hair breeds lose less. But all cats lose hair. I suggest, the Tuxedo, the Red Tabby, the Coon and the orange marmalade. The black and whites are nice, too!

A Sphynx or Rex (Cornish or Devon) are your best bet. Good food and regular brushing help with all cats.
