Call 1-800-ASK-USPS and ask them where the nearest Post Office to you that does Passports and what their hours are and if you need an appointment. Call that Post Office and get the info also. Go to USPS.COM/Passports and download the form DS_ 11 and have it filled out before you go ..Please do not sign it though. It must be signed in front of the Passport Acceptance Clerk. Both of you must appear in person with seperate DS-11's BOTH OF YOUR ORIGINIAL Birth Certificates and Photo ID's and you will need proof of a name change like your Marrige certificate if your name is not the same as on your Birth Certificate. The Post Office can probably take your Photo's just check with them berfore you come. It takes 4-6 weeks to get your passport from the agency lean more towards the 6 weeks because they are swamped right now with the new requrments for passports to Canada Mexico and the Carribian If you will be traveling in less than 6 weeks I suggest that you pay the additional $60 expidited fee and Express mail Both ways to get your Passport in 7-10 days Hope this was helpfull...

Your local post office will have passport applications. Together with the filing fee, you will need professionally made photographs suitable for the U. S. State Department's criteria. They have to be a certain size, etc., but they are very affordable. Depending upon the season and where you intend going, passport applications take approximately four to six weeks to process and are good for ten years.

Take your birth certificate and driver's license to Kinkos and tell them you want a passport picture taken. Then take the picture and your birth certificate and driver's license to the city clerk's office. They'll give you a form to fill out and then mail in your paperwork along with your picture for processing. It takes 4 to 6 weeks though - or so they say. I got mine in about 3 weeks.
You might want to look in the blue pages of your phone book to find out where your nearest government office is that processes passports. Where I live, it's the city clerk's office, but for you it might be a different office. Just look under "passports" in the blue pages. And you probably want to do it ASAP - like tomorrow.
You also might want to call them first and ask them if you need any other ID documentation. I got mine with just a birth certificate and driver's license - but they may accept other forms of ID.

Go to your local post office or you can view information online by going to travel.state.gov/passport usually there will be at least one local post office that will take your photos and everything but you should call and check first you will have to fill out an application and then they will take your picture. Passports typically take 4-8 weeks to return to you and they should come directly to your house I hope this helps ! Have a great trip =)

Go to your Post Office and they will tell you the procedures, cost, and time it takes. If you are going in March, do it now, it may take a few weeks, and I believe it's over $100 a piece now.

Sure, the Post Office can do it and it can take a while. Otherwise, most major cities have passport offices that allow you to get them in one day.
Visit: http://iafdb.travel.state.gov/DefaultForm.aspx for your nearest location.
Happy traveling.

You will need to go to the post office but you will also need to get passport photos taken first. I went to my local AAA club to get my photo to send along with my application.
