I think I read about it somewhere (on this site, maybe), about how some religion won't let virgins wear tampons, so they're still "tight" when they get married.

any and all religions

I know Muslim girls that do not as well and Christian.

There are multiple reasons as to why:

To make sure that they do not break the hymen

To make sure her husband is really the first one to enter her.

Because of maturity reasons she would not be able to wear them for fear of toxic shock syndrome.

I don't think any religion has forbidden girls to wear tampons. All world religions that exist now were found more than 1400 years ago. Tampons were not invented at that time. So OBVIOUSLY no religious leader could have prohibited the use of tampons for its young female followers (unless this religious leader could foresee the future, knew that "tampons" would be created and immediately created a rule prohibiting girls to wear tampons).
Dear, you might not be a rocket scientist, but you should be able to think logically and figure this out by yourself. But anyway, there are some Asian cultures (in India, Sri Lanka, etc...) which discourage the use of tampons for young girls. This is not about religion but about culture, because in some Asian cultures virginity is a must when it comes to marriage. In these cultures unmarried women who have lost their virginity are looked down upon.

None, except maybe some right wing radical, Christian cults.
The inference of your question appears to be directed at Islam.
I am not Muslim but I have read the Quran and there is nothing that refers to tampons or tightness of the vagina.
Yet another case of "fear of the unknown".Which is the basis for all race and religious prejudice
It does say in the Bible that God condoned Lot's multiple incidents of incest with his daughters. There is no disputing that.So if you take the word of the Bible literally then Christianity condones incest.
In just the first 16 pages of the Bible it condones what it later says are mortal sins. If you believe the Bible to be beyond interpretation and take its word literally. .
Examples are adultery incest, extra marital affairs, drunkenness.
Why do people keep on trying to stir up hatred and superstition when we have a world that needs healing.
Beside the religious and racial harm. Encouraging young girls to use tampons is now thought to be a contribute to cervical cancer and we know from extensive medical research that it is not to be encouraged with girls just beginning menstruation cycles. Many more mature women have switched back to the use of pads instead of tampons. Because of proven health risks as well as concern for T.S.S.
As for "tightness"the insertion of tampons could not in the least contribute to this condition.
Even women who have given birth to children are able to retain the same muscle tone,"tightness"if the correct exercises are done
frequently. It is purely up to the individual, but poor muscle control of the vagina is unnecessary.
Your research and information is way old fashioned by about 15yrs.

What? Islam doesn't forbid women to wear tampons! Thats stupid. what 1400 years ago tampons weren't even invented! It's a misconception between Religion and culture. Since Islam is commonly attributed to Arabs this is where the mix up happens. In Arab culture a female is supposed to stay a virgin until she is married so tampons for girls before marriage is a big nono! But after she marries (becomes a non-virgi) she can stick whatever she wants up there..lol. It has nothing to do with religion.

A tampon is never mentioned in any Religion!

Modern Muslims these days know, that it does not take an intact hymen to be a virgin. These days you even can get tampons especialy for virgins. Even with an intact hymen it is not for sure that you are bleeding. Muslims are not backwards!

wow so many people guessed islam. i dont even know if thats true but i'm pretty sure the people who said islam were only guessing. as someone already said tampons werent invented back then so if some imams are saying that its wrong they are only giving their opinion. maybe they said that because of health reasons. maybe it is true but its funny how people always blame everything they dont like on islam.

Muslims. And it's not so they won't be tight. It's so that they won't get Toxic Shock Syndrome (TSS) and die.
