The mac OS X leopard, is expected to be released at the end of the first quarter of 2007... &... a far as i Know-
The Minimum system requirements are:
PPC G4/G5/Intel processor
256MB RAM for PPC(512MB for Intel), A DVD Drive, Firewire, & at least 6 GB's of available free disk space

Probably in the spring of this year. Macworld is this week, and most likely more info and features will be revealed during His Steve-ness' keynote speech.
The developer's preview version system requirements are:
