Many Halls DO have windows. Some don't. The first one I went to did not for safety reasons. As it was we had to keep our air conditioning unit in a steel cage as people kept stealing it. When we tore down one Hall I attended, to renovate and enlarge, we installed windows. We put blinds up but still found it distracting to see cars going by. If you want to know why your local hall does not have windows you should politely ask someone from that Hall.

Generally, a Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses is built without windows only in areas which tend toward hate crimes and vandalism against houses of worship. Sadly, it seems that the questioner must be from an area with a reputation for bigotry and lawlessness.
Jehovah's Witnesses are proven to be true Christians based upon the Witnesses' preaching work and the anti-Witnesses' bigoted hatred against them.
(2 Timothy 4:3-5) For there will be a period of time when they will not put up with the healthful teaching, but, in accord with their own desires, they will accumulate teachers for themselves to have their ears tickled; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, whereas they will be turned aside to false stories. You, though, keep your senses in all things, suffer evil, do the work of an evangelizer, fully accomplish your ministry.

It's only a myth that there are "never windows" on JW Kingdom Halls. I studied with them for 6 years and the one I visted them in had windows. Not all do though, they build their buildings quickly and dont deck them out in ornate architechture like most Churches do and its cheaper to build a building without windows. Im NOT a JW, but I just want people to know this is definitely not a fact.

guess what? my Kingdom Hall has windows. many Kingdom halls do and some don't. it is cheaper to build without the fancy windows that churches have. instead of wondering why Kingdom Halls don't have windows, why don't you go inside and see what we are all about. we are not hiding anything, doors are always open. children would be looking outside instead of listening to the talk from Jehovah. we are not a cult or brainwashed either. see our website at www.watchtower.org. this question has been asked many times.

This is getting old. The Kingdom Halls are fully open for anyone to see, if they didn't fear going in and learning something they didn't know before.

And 23 more in the last six months. If you want to know, go there during a meeting and look. Any time there are cars in the lot there should be a meeting going on. Unless you are afraid.

I had heard from one of them that it was because of vandals. Also it would be cheaper to heat and cool I would imagine. It could also be as a deterrent from outside distractions.
