I told him that I was not upset with him, and I am the one with the issues. I was not loud or mean about it. I also NEVER keep him away from his friends, family or work. As a matter of fact he just came home from NH with a group of his freinds late last night. He came to my house...because it is closer than him going home. I guess I just don't my house to a pit stop, or I don't want to be in his life out of convienince. I felt at the moment that he made his mind up to spend the day with ME not so much the birthday party....so why should it matter what we do? And I told him last week to go to his football party. So by him changing his mind it made me feel pretty rotton. Does that clear anything up?

Having read both your questions and the answers you were given I think you went a little overboard.
The man was trying to do the right thing by showing you how much he cared about you and your family when your plans feel through he reverted back to his original plan this was not a slight in your direction. Maybe he came to your house because he really missed you and wanted to see you?
Personally I think you are not ready for a steady relationship with anyone yet and you should work on your insecurities .
A good relationship takes work, compromise, trust and giving each other a little space from time to time. Check yourself.

I can see where the issue comes from. I could last time to. If it were me, I would have stayed. I would have already told the guys I'm not coming and with your kid being sick, means the two of you could have had a nice quiet night together. Or if he was smart, he would have used this as opportunity to get a few dad points and take care of the kid. But that's just me.

don't worry about what some of these bleeding hearts have to say. they are looking for someone to lay blame and think that the writer is the one in the wrong in most instances. also, counceling cannot cure much except for how a medical student who couldn't make it will make the BMW payment.
