As has been said, the mustang has the same engine. Depending on how much you want to do, the Mercury Marauder is the same body style and has a 302 hp 4 valve engine, better suspension, 3.55 posi rear end. If you could find one of those in the junkyard, it would be a treasure trove. Plus, a lot of the aftermarket parts for the Mustang Mach 1 will interchange, as it was essentially the same engine.

To make it faster you need either less weight or more power or both. One way I reduced weight on my mustang and also free'd up some horsepower was to get rid of my ac, power steering and smog pump. By removing all these components you will reduce weight in the front wich will also give you better traction. Another thing it will do for you is that your engine won't have to waste horsepower to turn these components and thus will give you more rear wheel ponies. The downside is obvious but if it's speed you desire, at no cost, you won't mind the hastle.

There's a break in at least one of the bulb filaments, that's it. Might not see it until you pull the bulb and hold it up to the light or sky and flip it with your finger and watch to see if one of the filaments wobbles loosely inside the bulb. Eventually you will find which bulb it is. Good Luck!

Go to a parts store and ask for some preformance bolt ons for a Mustang with the 4.6L, i'm guessing that your Vicky has the 4.6L. other then that, i would go for exhaust work, and flowmaster is the best bet on that. I have a friend with the 4.6L Vicky and thats what he's done.

high performance air filter K&N, superchip, turbocharger, larger nozzle fuel injectors, I can go on and on just depends on how much you want to spend. I would start with removin weight perhaps a carbon fiber hood.
