I would hope that no Christians would support this type of behaviour, but sadly many of them do. All that I can say is do let it bother you.

Im a Christian and I cant stand people like that either, and trust me, they're probably even less fun from my angle. I know you dont want scripture from me but, even if you are an Atheist, this is true even for you.
Matthew 7:9-11 9Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
20Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.
21Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
This is how you and everyone else can tell if someone is really a Christian or not, which is by their fruits. As you see, The Bible tells us those who do not bear the fruits, will be cast into the fire (Hell)
What are these fruits?
Gal 5:22-23 22But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.
Whether or not you believe the Bible, this is how you determine who is Christian and who is not. If they do not show these "fruits" dont lump them into the group that does.

Many people use the Bible in a wrong way. The Bible was not made to be study. Christianity is not a class, we cannot fulfill Gods word in our own strength, we need His grace. As a matter of fact Christianity is a fight against ourselves. There is no worst enemy for our salvation then ourselves. Many people call themselves Christians and they are nothing but "blinds guiding other blinds." "The word was made flesh and dwell among us".(The beginning of John) The word of God creates, He says something and it happens. The word of man does not create, we are creatures, not the Creator. All we should do is follow Him, how can we change somebody else when we need a change. If we were Christians people would believe.

I am sorry you had this ridiculous experience. To answer your question....No, Christians do not condone bad behaviour. I am a born again Christian and I can't stand it myself when other people who are Christians act immaturely as this person did with you. I fully recognize that our faith alone calls us to spread the gospel and we should, BUT in my experience only Christians that are mature in their faith do this correctly. Unfortunately, some of us become what you would call a zealot and simply turn non-christians totally off. It's a stupid way to try to lead people to Christ and in fact achieves the exact opposite. We are not all like this woman and unfortunately it is because of people just like her that make non-believers paint us all with a broad brush stroke of a stereotype. It's sad and I wish that people like her would learn that the best approach is out of love, respect and a humility of spirit that truly preaches the gospel, not the attack that some give. Rest assured though, that there are many Christians that are NOT like this, but unfortunately its a case of the squeakiest wheel getting the most airplay.

Sorry you had to deal with that. Really.
There are ones who call themselves "Christian" that very obviously do not follow the tenents of the Leader of Christianity.
Since you used the Bible to refute her allegations.......I give you Kudos. One has to be in harmony with the Whole of the Scriptures to actually have the Truth of God's Word as I am personally convinced (John 17:17)
It is written at 1 John 4:1:
"Beloved ones, do not believe every inspired expression, but test the inspired expressions to see whether they originate with God, because many false prophets have gone forth into the world."
..........and too I know there is a defining factor in learning who is true and false:
"They originate with the world; that is why they speak [what proceeds] from the world and the world listens to them. 6 We originate with God. He that gains the knowledge of God listens to us; he that does not originate with God does not listen to us. This is how we take note of the inspired expression of truth and the inspired expression of error." 1 John 4:5-6
Furthermore, I personally do not believe that the Bible actually teaches that God will torture people in hellfire as it is not compatible with his personality or the harmony of the Scriptures, so I wouldn't worry too much about her 'condemnation' LOL!
"And they have built the high places of To′pheth, which is in the valley of the son of Hin′nom, in order to burn their sons and their daughters in the fire, a thing that I had not commanded and that had not come up into my heart.’" - Jeremiah 7:31
Notice that the above Scripture is talking about Humans...burning children in fire.........then we read of the type of God that I worship.
There are very many teachings that Christendom (the 'professed' world of Chrstianity) teaches that are unscriptural, but that doesn't stop them from proliferating this twisting of God's loving personality........it started in the first century, so we can be assured that it has continued until now.
"Furthermore, consider the patience of our Lord as salvation, just as our beloved brother Paul according to the wisdom given him also wrote YOU, speaking about these things as he does also in all [his] letters. In them, however, are some things hard to understand, which the untaught and unsteady are twisting, as [they do] also the rest of the Scriptures, to their own destruction.
YOU, therefore, beloved ones, having this advance knowledge, be on YOUR guard that YOU may not be led away with them by the error of the law-defying people and fall from YOUR own steadfastness." - 2 Peter 3:15-17

Some ppl are crazy.
My sisters' Christian school, did this mental exercise.
Where they wanted to the kids to close their eyes and listen for god, then share what they heard with the rest of the class.
I was outraged, when I heard this !
I don't need some Christian coo-coo, trying to make my sisters schizophrenic, I worry enough about them.

I am christian, but I feel that everyone is intitled to their opinions, and that no one is ever 100% right! Diversity is what makes this world go round. Don't let others get you down about what you believe. No one has a right to harass you to get you to take on their way of thinking!

Behavior that is as you state "bad" is never something that I approve of. It is when a person uses their religion to justify their actions that I find it reprehensible. I am a Catholic and I believe that all people should be treated with respect and dignity and that no one person should put themselves above another. This woman who claims to be a prophet of God could only be a prophet if she were humble in her teachings and raised those who she spoke to above herself in her actions toward them.

No we're not appropriate. actually, the very reason we circulate to Church is to declare that we are yet mere sinners. i wouldn't in any respect condone the different Christian behaving badly, whether they're a guy or woman who would not in many cases do undesirable stuff. we are all sinful, and Christians make in basic terms as many blunders as atheists do.

Do non-Christians really think that stereotyping is cool? I don't understand what your question is, seems you just want to cry about a bad experience with a person who also is a Christian.
Hmmm.....so if I follow your thinking I could ask "Do men really think that cheating is ok?" since I once had a boyfreind that cheated.
