Yes. They are voice recognition programs, but some are just plain crappy. You need to speak out really loud and clear for the words to spell out correctly and even so, they don't...

Yes, I also know of the Microsoft Word of 03/04 that you must go through some lessons to help get your voice familiar to the system.

there are a few, Dragon Dictate, via voice, lots out there, but remember all will take time as you will have to train them to use your speech pattern. And also a microsoft speech recognition engine.
