Adam and eve knew he existed, Abraham talked to him as well. All the jews during biblical times knew he existed. Jesus performed supernatural miracles to show he was really sent by God.

But then it all stopped. God disapeared!

God isn't hiding and He hasn't disappeared.

If you don't talk to Him in prayer and daily, if you don't praise Him, if you're not a worshipper, you're not going to hear Him.

God speaks to me daily, offers me comfort and love and I know, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that He's there.

You must also believe in Jesus because He is the mediator between us and God. I'm not saying that you can't talk to God but if you don't have a relationship with Jesus, you've got nothing.

God is here and He is speaking constantly. Are you listening?

Sin has separated us from God. There have been miracles since those ancient times, but unbelieving scientists are quick to dismiss them. May 19, 1780 was known as the "Dark Day". In the New England area, it became dark as night all of a sudden and stayed that way all day. There was also a meteor shower and the Biblical prophecy was fulfilled that "the sun would fail to give light, and the stars would fall from Heaven."
You have to keep in mind that in the past, God would perform incredible miracles as long as someone was obeying Him 100%, like Abraham and Moses, and many other prophets. How many people since Christ have obeyed God 100%? There simply haven't been that many great spiritual leaders who have been without reproach. I would say the closest anyone has come to complete obedience to Christ in this last century would be Ellen White. If you had lived during her time and had witnessed the trances she fell into while under the power of the Holy Spirit, you would have seen miracles. Doctors affirmed that she did not breathe at all for hours while in the Spirit, yet was not dead. Somehow, a sickly girl with an 8th-grade education was inexplicably able to write like she had a Phd in English or Literature. By human standards, that's impossible. It is only possible through the Holy Spirit. She is considered a prophetess, following in the footsteps of other minor prophets of the OT.
I believe that in the time just before Christ returns, we are going to see many OT-type miracles. However, we must watchful, because Satan can also perform miracles. He will use them to draw people away from the true Christ.

Faith is believe without seeing! God wants to see if we believe in him without him having to do things to make us believe. And did you know that even if he did something people would still not believe.

Now let me tell you about a miracle that is happening to my uncle in Holland, and lets see if you start believing in God. The doctors found out that my uncle had cancer and had 2 to 6 months at most to live. According to the doctors he should have been dead by August in 2006, but guess what? He is still alive! I do believe he is going to die soon, but God was being merciful to him letting him live about 5 months more. I will tell you about another miracle and maybe you will believe. When I was little I was traveling with my mom and another person. Our car had broken down and the hood of the car had steam coming out of it. We were far from any repair place, and we didn't know what to do. A car came by and a man asked us what was wrong. We told him. He said that he would drive with us to our destination. So we got in the car and tried to see if we could make the car move. Miraculously all the steam went, and the car worked perfectly. The man drived behind us all the way to our destination. When we got there, and as soon as the man passed us, the car broke down again and the hood of the car started steaming. The man stop and said, "well, you got here now and it doesn't seem like you need my help anymore." we thanked him, and he left. We never saw that man again. My mom thinks that he might have been an angel, but we don't know. There are many more stories like these. God hasn't dissapeared.

And also that's part of being a christian: having faith that God exsists. He doesn't have to do anything to make us believe in him. And he still speaks to us, but in a different form. It's through the Bible, and we can prayed to him. God hasn't hiden himself. Just like the air, you can't see it, but you know it's there and that it hasn't disappeared b/c you are breathing it in.

I hope this kinda answered your question? And I am sorry if I sound offensive in anyway. I always seem to write things down, and then people take it the wrong way.

All this Adam and Eve, Jesus stuff came from one book which has been proven over and over again to be completely without any evidence of truth. Science can prove this book false but there is not one priest, minister or pope that can prove it real. Even though I will be bombarded by the deluded, I think the answer is that something cannot disappear if it never existed.

well in those times people could do amazing miracles - magic even however because there are no more prophets anymore and the last one has been sent already. god doesn't need to prove himself by allowing miracles and magic to happen. god knows that the truth is now among the people and so it is up to our faith to decide on whether we believe in the truth or not. i beleive the truth that he sent after many attempts is the Islam. many prophets like abraham, moses, and jesus were sent to convey the existence of god however ppl changed things and got it wrong but after islam ppl are following the correct truth about god and practices etc. so there is no need for miracles or for us to see god. in the quraan it says that god is so powerful and unimaginable to us that seeing him would actually harm us. the human mind cannot really understand this fact so we have to use our faith.

Only to those who dont want to know Him. I know in my life He has done some amazing things, even when it doesnt make sense and I try not to believe, I can't. Back in the Biblical times you talk about, there were pleanty of people then who didn't want to believe either. When God spoke to Moses and Abraham, there were people just like we have today that laughed and thought they were crazy. Why do you think it was different back then?

God has not disappeared, He is Spirit, we live in a world that is physical yet God reveals himself through the physical of who He is, by what he created, by the way the world works its intricate systems. God is still on the throne and exists and is holding out to all the right arm of fellowship to those accept Jesus Christ as their personal Savior.

gods always do. they always make their grand entrance, put on a fancy show then exit stage right, never to make an appearance again until some far flung future happenstance. and they always put on their performances in some long distant past so you're suppose to get by with faith in just the hand-me-down stories. gods always show themselves somewhere in the past and/or somewhere in the future but for some mysterious reason they never seem to show themselves now.

ah well ... some of the stories are fun to read.

Gasp, believing something doesn't even take 1% of the effort then trying to find out the truth.

Teh tiny atheist mind at least doesn't blindfoldedly follow what is written in a book and yelled out by millions of believers.

but yeah... you have to accept jesus in your heart and then you will know the love of god, blah, blah, blah
