This is normal for a puppy and I hope you can get this stopped before it becomes a habit. Jack Russel puppies are full of energy and very active and if possible put the litter box where the puppy can't get to it. Its not harmful but just a dirty, bad habit.

Cat poo is harmful to dogs and pregnant women. I've got an enclosed litter box and face the opening towards the wall so that the cat can get in but the dog can't. As ur puppy is small try putting a barrier around the litter box and that will still allow ur cat to jump over.

Oh you're one of those fortunate people that has a poo eating dog. It's normal, a lot of dogs do it. Nobody really knows why. Sometimes dogs eat their OWN poo. You should do something to stop it though. For one, the poo probably still has litter clinging to it and that's unhealthy for the pup's throat and also feline fecal matter is a very unhealthy thing. It can cause toxoplasmosis in infants so odds are it's not very healthy for the dog. And finally, it'd probably be better when the dog tries to lick your face if it hasn't eaten kitty poo. :D Good luck.

Puppies like to eat cats poo, there own poo and even other dogs poo. Some will roll in it and some won't develop any of these gross habits.
Some grow out of it, some must be trained out of it by you keeping an eagle eye on them and intervening before they offend.
So, yes this normal. And yes, it can be harmful because they spread germs to you and your home, and the poo they mess around with may have worms etc.
Cats litter trays are extremely attractive to puppies and I suggest you move it somewhere your cute and naughty puppy won't get to it.

your dog bringing in the cats droppings is normal. Almost all dogs do this or try to do this. It's not great for them to eat but it won't do any real harm. Try putting the catbox in closet with a sliding door just big enough for the cat to get in. You can also try putting the cat box on the dryer or some place like that. You can even try putting it on the floor in the closet or bathroom with some sort gate around it or in front of it. The cat can jump higher then the dog can.

i have a year old jack russel cross and 2 cats, this is very normal the dogs are attracted to the amonia in the cats urine and feceas, try not to let yr dog eat it as it wont do her any good but it cert wont kill her, jus take her attention away from the tray, wen she goes near it call her to you and if she comes reward her with a treat this will take sum time but event the dog will realise that staying away from the tray gets rewards and attention, it worked with my dog. hope this helps

It's normal, and it's not good for her.
You may need to switch to a covered litter box for the cat.

Back to basics........ Pat his nose with two fingers and give a stern NO....! and keep him back he was before he cud bring that thing in. It works but consistency and patience are critical.
